Amazon Business Credit Useless

As part of the EOFY promotion, Amazon were offering 30% off for new business customers.

Unfortunately they charged me full price even though the discount was shown at checkout.

Amazon gave me ~$80 credit as this was the discount that I should’ve received.

However this is only for Amazon AU items and only for items without a “business price”.

Literally every item sold by Amazon AU has a business price so I’m unable to use the credit anywhere.

Surely this is not legal to give store credit that doesn’t apply to anything?

They didn’t mention this in the support chat when they applied the credit to my account…

  • ask them to tramsfer it to your personal account……….

    • Amazon rep said "… there are no policies that allows us to transfer the credit from any of the accounts."

  • This credit - can it be used to buy any gift cards? Not familiar with Amazon Business, but just in case it is a possibility.

    • Nope, doesn’t work

Thanks, this was the answer, unlike live chat, phone support were able to help

  • Have you used the item? Is it too late to return and ask for a refund (probably not since they've already given you a credit).

How can you tell if an item has a business price? I tried looking at a couple of items and couldn't tell if they have business price or not
