Definitely a bargain the RRP for a Prismatic ETB is $99 and the Prismatic Booster Bundle is $40. Getting either of these individually at RRP is already considered a win, but here you’re getting both for $99. On the secondary market, the pair typically sells for around $250, making this an exceptional deal.

It’s cheaper than RRP. The ETB typically retails for $90-100 and the Booster Bundle retails for ~$45.

When the store open
I'm thinking of deleting it. Clicking around the menu a few minutes every day and still not getting enough booster packs to get every card, you'd have to spend a fortune to catch them all.
My favourite part of these Pokémon trading card game packs is watching grown men fighting in Costco and trying to grab 14 boxes while fighting off other neck beards and pushing the staff out of the way… makes for great viewing.

Holy shit (and by "Mecca's" I think you meant Macca's) I just looked this up… This is crazy. People were linging up for hours to order bags and bags of food, just to get the cards and then walking outside and dumping the food on the ground or tossing it away, not even eating it… All looking for a certain "Pikachu" card that they could sell online that was worth about Y1000, or about AU$10… Christ, humans are embarrassing…

Man I used to love this card game so very very much.
Tried to transition to Magic, but pokemon had that aspect of 'play your opponent' (charmander? Probably has a charmeleon in thr works…) Which magic lacked (very few telegraphing builds).
Used to rock the unlimited matches with a deck based on scoop up and damage transfer, right through into the early 2010's.
I also have a rocket deck based on drowsees long distance hypnosis and Misdrevious's Dream Eater (which I submitted for eratta twice, and was knocked back, so OK, overpowered as heck, but OK). Used it once, absolutely broken, so retired it.
Where does everyone play these days?

I assume most of people lining up are students, the other are uber drivers or a like, and the other poor people trying to make a buck recruited on Airtasker by resellers. Leaves about 1 in 10 for fans or collectors. Kinda of sad for true fans and collectors but I guess money is money.

All the trash listing them for sale before they even get home from the store, people are scum.
Can only hope that supply keeps improving and makes it less worthwhile for scalpers. I do feel it’s starting to happen.
But part of the problem is also The Pokemon Company making so many varied products within a set and then also continuing to pump out new sets e.g. Mega Evolution. If they really wanted to, they could focus on just pumping out booster bundles of Prismatic. But the scarcity is in their interest too. At least in the short term.
