270

Afterpay Day Sale Offer:

10% & 8% cashback available on the $100 Uber eGift Cards via Shopback AU

Uber gift cards can also be redeemed at Uber Eats.
You can switch payment method(gcdb.com.au) in the Uber app or Uber Eats app within 30 days. You can buy this discounted Uber Eats gift card to pay past purchases that you paid with bank card.
There is no difference between a regular Uber gift card and an Uber Eats gift card – both can be used for either purpose.

App only: Switch payment hack(gcdb.com.au)

A unique feature of Uber’s payment system is that it allows you to change the payment method on purchases you made up to 30 days ago. This means you can buy Uber gift cards when they’re on sale and use them retroactively.

After you’ve added your Uber gift cards to your account, open up the Uber app or Uber Eats app and go to the ride or order you previously made. Select the receipt for that ride or order and then scroll down to where it says Switch Payment Method.

Provided you have enough in your gift card balance to cover the total purchase, you should then be given the option to switch the payment method to use Uber Cash. Your original payment method (e.g. credit card, PayPal etc) will then be refunded.

Note that there have been reports that switching the payment is not possible for rides and orders paid for with Apple Pay or Google Pay.

ShopBack has started declining all my payment methods recently, not very happy.

So it's up to the user whether they want 8% or 10% cashback? 🤔

    • Oddly, yes it seems so. It might be that it's a limit of one purchase at 10%, then you have to go to 8% if you want another.

      • Incorrect, I just got two $100 at 10%

        • Oh splendid. Life is mysterious.

the idea is that the 10% gets used up/exhausted and then people can still get the 8% cashback deal. First come, first serve!

  • @gotyourback wondering if APD15 code can be used for MyDeal as it's part of the afterpay day sale?

    • Double checking on this for you and we’ll get back to you ASAP with the confirmation.

      • Thanks for your patience @sdkfjhwef we’ve checked and the APD15 code isn’t eligible for Cashback since it’s not advertised on our website or app.

Sorry about that, hope this clears things up!

        • Ah no worries, thanks for the confirmation! :)

          • @sdkfjhwef: fyi code was advertised with yesterday’s upsized cashback
