Surely you've already found it for way cheaper?
Nah, it's halfway through the GPU cycle. I expect it later still.
Not applying enough coupons and cashback.
@wizza13: Just following OzB's "don't pay more than you have to"
But guess who's been paying more when these were still at $1.4k. Oh right… folks like you.
Anybody got a decent 5070 Ti deal? 🥹
if you want to downgrade to 5070, thats ATL price now, ~$500 less than a 5070 ti https://www.pgrid.app/au/gpus/geforce-rtx-5070
Cheers! Not sure why you’re being downvoted
Damn that's a cool page.. If I was still at 2560x1440 I'd highly consider a 5070 from my 3060 Ti, but I'm at 3440x1440.. I don't wanna change for at least half a decade+ so probably best to nab a 16GB VRAM card given my res.
(edit, removed, realised title of post had the same info)
Some of the RTX 5070 Ti's can use the same combo code deal (APAY15/AUSGAMER7) but their base ebay prices are quite high.. So you'll still end up like ~1400.
EDIT: AU $1,314.82 for the Galax GeForce RTX 5070 Ti EX Gamer 1-Click OC Graphics Card 57IZN6MDBUEX via centrecom using both codes.
Oo cheers! I run two 1440p monitors, though I’ll probably hook this one up to just one of them for gaming and occasional productivity.
Do you reckon it’s worth spending $500 more for the 5070 Ti vs 5070?
Personally, no. However, if you change GPU's once every 5-10 years, probably. If you swap every other generation (say 3~ years), Get the 5070, it'll do. Assuming your 1440 is not ultrawide you'll be fine for a while.
I do think the 1100/1050 priced RX 9070 XTs are a way better value than both. But understand the nvidia cards pull less power, and do have an edge in some DLSS/RT use-cases. But also, screw Jensen lol.
@ReaperX22: Yeah fair well I'd wanna ideally avoid team green but it doesn't help that AMD is dogshit for game dev, 3D modelling, LLMs etc. The 9070 XT deals are looking great
@DigitalJeezus: Yeah if your use case is productivity as well, nvidia def your better option of it's specific for those reasons.
In which case, knowing your other use cases, def grab the 16GB model then! The extra VRAM to be able to load assets in will help you more than the casual gamer.
I wonder if a 5070 Super with 16GB is around the corner that would hit that sweet spot for you…
@ReaperX22: Yeah that, I would jump at the 5070 Super though I reckon we're at least 4-6 months away from release?
Honestly, I can just wait it out till then but I've got all my parts ready to go, my CPU should be here tomorrow and I'm just impatient to build and run some games on it during my mid-sem uni break in 2 weeks time lol. It's also going to be my first build, moving away from gaming laptops so I'm pretty excited.
I was thinking of probably buying a 9060 XT for the interim (I'm not going 2nd hand via marketplace, too many shady sellers) and eat up the reselling costs when upgrading to the Supers or the 5070Ti if prices drop, but I feel like that would turn out to be a really bad financial decision. Ughhhh
nice one - that's an ATL pretty sure. Tempted, but will prob hold closer to supers release - black friday (or lead up) should see some further cuts hopefully….
Anything in particular we should be concerned about?
By default you opt in to giving them precise location (you can turn this off but some services may require it).
By default you opt in to the use of your data to create a profile for direct marketing. You can turn off marketing but not sure about profile (probably not).
Your data may be transferred to other countries including China but they will endeavour to maintain the handling applicable by the AU privacy act.
They will store your data for an unspecified time after account deletion that allows them to deal with any fraud etc. Also upto 10 years as required by law depending on jurisdiction (standard in AU for finance I believe)
Plus the good old "The internet is not a 100% secure environment, so we cannot guarantee absolute security of the transmission or storage of your information."
I bought this two weeks ago for $100 more, and I waited last night for the Afterpay Day Sale 😭 the timing lol
Happy with mine.
Becareful, once you use the coupon code, you can't use it for another purchase with another seller..
Mine says 1209 after entering code.
How did you manage to get it that low?
Yes go down more nyehehehe
