Make sure to tick the coupon on the page to get this price. I believe it is currently ATL, probably new version will come out soon or maybe they just giving up on these? Eitherway, it is great price for Wear OS with 3+ days battery. Add $20 extra for Ticwatch 5 Enduro, which will upgrade the screen to Saphire Crystal in opposed of Gorilla Glass on the regular Pro 5. All other specs pretty much similar.

Looks like not compatible with IOS, so only good if you are using Android. Wear OS 4 possibly no further update.

Highlights of the watch:

  • Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1
  • OLED + Ultra-low-power Display
  • NFC payment supports Google Pay and Google Wallet
  • Rotating crown

Great price. I moved from Ticwatch to Garmin and will never look back.
But for someone that is happy with the battery life and interested in Wear OS, you could do worse.

what garmin did you end up getting?

      • +1

Venu 3. Good for notifications and way better for fitness tracking. Useful apps from the store for my needs too. 10+ day battery life. Over $500 though.

    • +1

Yep I did the same, now I barely need to charge my watch once a week and it's infinitely more functional

    • Any chance it wqs the garmin fenix 8?

      Looking to upgrade also

  • Thanks. Just ordered the enduro. Upgrade from my pro 3

    • Yeah me too. The Enduro price is too good to pass 😂

  • Two of my pro 5 died - first after 3 weeks, 2nd after about 5 months, I suspect from sweat. Too many reports of poor weather sealing.

Does the enduro have better weather protection?

    • It is rated the same as Pro 5. However the Enduro one has curvature band which hopefully help with sweat.

      • I changed bands on the Pro 5 to a cloth one because the silicone rubber band irritated my skin, so I tend to remove it when showering. Cloth is nice just remember to zip it through an ultrasonic cleaner periodically.
The pro hasn't shown any signs of failing, but I might update if there's a compelling new model.

  • What is the case size on these?
I see the screen is 1.43 inch (36mm) so would overall size be about 45mm?

    • Between strap fixing - 50mm
      Case diameter - 48mm
      Case height - 14mm
      Band pitch - 24mm*

      • The cloth band just fits a medic alert QR if that's of interest
  • Good price, had two Ticwatch before, moved to Galaxy now.

    • How does it compare to the Galaxy Watches, please?

I would like to upgrade my Kmart smart watch, but not break my bank..
I watched with interest the recent deals for the Galaxy Watches dipping below $300 and under $200 for the older models, but I was put off in the past because I don't have a Samsung phone to take advantage of half of the fitness/health apps and the battery life used to be quite poor (under a day without careful management). And with the Huawei watch and older Pixel Watches being in that sub-$300 range, I wondered how the TicWatch compares.

      • Mine first died after a swimming session (I only wore it once for swimming). I contacted the store, and they sent me a replacement, but not long after, it died again when I rinsed it with tap water (no soap).

        • Thanks. That's enough to deter me - especially having spent three hours in the rain last night.

        • @noodlefan
Where did you get your TicWatch from? From the official Mobvoi website, or Amazon?
I'm considering a watch from the official Mobvoi site, but would like to know what people's experience with their customer support is - especially regarding change of mind / dissatisfaction and postage fees.

          TIA

          • @sam buster: Amazon. I think from their official store.

            • @noodlefan: Thanks. I might have to settle for the black then, for peace of mind.
I have coupons to use on Amazon too.

  • For a female with a relatively slender wrist, would the watch be too big? Ebay reviews looks like the watch is quite large and bulky. The only reference I have is a Garmin 935, which is bulky on her wrist but passable. Thanks.

Anyone got the watch to show health data on the Mobvoi Health app ?

    • Not work for me. Gona return it back to Amazon for a refund.

      • Yes health data seems a bit inaccurate

        Buggy connectivity too

    • Their servers have been down for a few days, impacting all their watches.

      • @Pobman @Snoovey @c0bnut

How does Mobvoi's server affect the watch use? (Genuine question).

If Mobvoi's servers are offline are the health tracking features then useless?
Could a third-party app be used to resolve it?

Is it just the Health apps affected?

If the servers closed down would installing the WearOS app instead of the Mobvoi app be feasible?

I'm very close to buying one of these, I've just been hanging on to see if the slate grey Enduro comes back in stock.

        • +1

I have not had the servers or app go down on me yet. I imagine you'd be able to use Google Fit or something instead if it is important to you.

        • +1

None of the health metrics sync to the phone. Sleep and heart rate were of most interest to me. The format of data synced to Google fit was just garbage.
I still haven't worked out how to automatically record exercise, I get nothing.
But now sleep and HR are syncing it's useful.
          Not a bad watch

    • Finally came back online 2 days ago

  • I think this is the best value smartwatch you can buy currently!

    • Only if they keep the servers online. Has been very unreliable. They're down quite a bit

    • Apart from fitness tracking, what else can you use these for?

      • They have Wear OS 4.0 so there are a tonne of apps on the Play Store. You can make payments with Google Pay. You can also sideload apps to it and run ADB commands. I can control my smart home using Home Assistant. Also the battery life is phenomenal.

        • Thanks for the reply.
So my only worry now is the water / sweat resistance.

Is there any advantage in buying through Amazon rather than direct from Mobvoi website?
Some models and colours are cheaper on one than the other.

          • @sam buster: It's 5 ATM water resistant so will be able to take sweat and showers no problem. The advantage to buying through Amazon is that it is $149 AUD currently and you'll get it next day.

            • @c0bnut: I was leaning towards the Enduro which doesn't seem to have the $50 off on Amazon, whereas it's priced $169 on the Mobvoi website - so $20 cheaper.
Any advantage with Amazon for returns / warranties, do you know?

I read a few reports (even in this thread) about iffy water proofing - I suppose it's a little bit of luck of the draw.

              • +1

@sam buster: Returns would definitely be easier with Amazon. They generally refund you straight away and have a lot of options and print return labels out for you etc.
