Yeah this is not the model just launched in case you didn't know. This is last year's model, which may still be a good deal considering the minimal changes, but if your point was that it launched a week or two back and is already down massively as you may have thought, not quite.

At the next Samsung sale, play the 'stack the codes' game, goal of $570 or lower for the current year device.
The only difference is 32GB vs 64GB storage, otherwise same chip, RAM, display etc. No brainer to go 2024 for half the price. I didn't get the targeted code so the launch deal wasn't an option.
There is a slight difference in the sensors, and antioxidant measurement, too, but not worth the extra money.
I think the sensors are identical, but the 2024 hadn't had the UI 8.0 Update yet, so those features weren't available.
I believe the watch is identical, sans the storage.
I'd say this is a bargain if you didn't manage to get the 2025 on launch with all the codes bringing it down to a very similar price.
@eggaz: A few of us here got it down into the $5XX mark - I paid high fives for the 2025, but someone in this post got $524 after all was said and done!
@Droz: Thats a great deal. Without any watch trade in I was able to get it to $850 when purchased with the Fold7 theough the EDU store. Im trying to return it (unopened) but pending approval from Samsung as apparently they don't refund single items when purchased with any promotion discounts applied.

@StarGrapper: To be fair, the 2024 version has been up and down in price for at least 6 months - I'd seen the 2024 for about the price in this deal on Amazon earlier this year, and was thinking about buying it.
Also, I knew the 2025 was coming out, and also knew that Samsung put out some absolutely killer deals on launch for all their products. So I waited. If the 2025 didn't drop to this price, I would've bought the 2024 for this price.

Sold my apple, galaxy ultra, Garmin, and now my Casio Protrek was f30 is last to go, which to be honest I like the most, and will be painful when gone

What happened ? I bought the watch7 LTE for my nephews it works fine with BetterRoaming and Family Sharing. Their parents can find and contact them real convenient.

Oh, turns out public transport was only added in 2024 as an option by Google. I've got a Watch 6 on and it's got public transport as an option, so it's definitely there now! You could consider a lower tier watch if it's just Maps you want on a watch though, a Watch 6, 7, 8 with LTE would do and be half the price on sale.
@ScribbleSass: All the LTE watches can do those things, so I suppose you could save yourself ~$200 if you wait for a deal (example). But looks like this is the cheapest option if you need something right now.

Bought this for a bit more… like this warch more than i thought i would. A lot of accessories from third party lets you customize it as befits your mood.
Also good tracking of details and biometrics. Been useful in helping lose a couple kilos so far… theres a nice feedback loop between my cheap ass treadmill and working out that wasnt present before!
Man 47mm watch is way too big. If I only could pull it off, I would consider this!

Any feedback on battery life? I had the S4 and vowed never to touch a Samsung waych again.
My 2025 lata 2 - 3 days with all sensors on, constant heart rate on, AOD on, raise wrist to wake OFF, using the Samsung default Ultra watch face.
I have auto detect activities on, so the real battery life depends on how much GPS you use.
It gets charged whilst I'm in the shower.
2024 should be the same.
Really happy with my fit 3. Battery lasts 5 days, couldn't ask for anything more. Got for 80 bucks on Amazon.
The 2024 model's gone from JB website. Only the white colour is available. So, can't return my 2025 and price match this one, unfortunately. :(
