Much better deal than the last one without jumping through the CB hoops.

  • When is the expiry date?

Sim activation expiry date is March 19, 2027.

    Or

300GB for new activations. 240GB on next recharge. Activate by 6 Oct 2025

    • Sim can be activated up until March 19, 2027, however the current Boost promotion (extra 60GB on activation) will only be valid if activated by 6 Oct 2025.

  • $2 Telstra SIM with no plan selected will work as port out option as well.

    • Currently on live chat to cancel porting my number, as its been a week. Wouldn't bother with Telstra at the moment, sounds like they are having issues.

      • What is your backup plan? I was going to port into telstra today.

        • Think I'll give a $2 Optus sim a go. Telstra have been nothing but a pain to deal with, just telling me to wait longer. Meanwhile I'm having to keep topping up with Boost in the mean time.

          • @Monty94: Don’t you have to recharge optus? I couldn’t find a way to just activate the sim

            • @Harryxx: I hadn't looked into it yet but that could be a problem. I'm pretty stuck as i can't port back to Boost until it's sorted, or they may port me out once I've activated the new sim 😅.

      • Interesting, did my port a out a month ago with no issues…
Although ported to Telstra waited for the service to appear in the app and then ported back over to Boost with no issues at all.

  • I have an existing Boost sim.
Will I get a new number?
Do I need a new sim card?
    Thanks.

    • You can get a new number if you want. If you want to keep your current Boost number, port out using any sim listed above then port back to Boost

  • I'm on Woolworths mobile (Telstra network). Can I still use this as new customer?

    • Yes

  • Ugh, do I go around with Boost again??? Mine expires end of Oct, was hoping to find a better competitor but not sure one exists.

I am just about to run out of my current 170gb Boost and trialed Lycamobile from Amazon $6 before buying 200gb for $150 (dual sim phone) but Voda network. Been fine for me - better reception in the office in Brisbane and fast speed - benchmarked 420mbps on northside at a train station.

For me I'll move as I don't need 300gb or to pay double.

      • Yeah, that is pretty tempting isn't it..

    • +2

Just try a cheap discounted plan for a few months to see if Voda suits. Ive done a few $12.50 month deals and after 3 or 4 months Ive decided the coverage is crap enough to pay a bit more for actual usable reception

      • Yeah I was looking at that moose mobile deal as well but will have to leave it for another month or so before I pick it up again.

I've been boost for years but have decided to go Vodafone next time around. There's a deal at the moment for the voda 300gig plan for $150 (inc cashback).

I may regret it and end up back with boost, but thought it was worth a try

      • That's tempting, hope it works out for you.

  • eBay having 15% off for some use afterpay. I got mine for 227.76 after discount.

    • Can you pls share the link, I can't seem to find it?

      • +4

Here you go. Select Afterpay for payment at checkout and use code APAY15.

        • Link says 265GB ?

          • @penguinswillrise: Not sure. Boost website doesn't have 265 GB plan anymore. I would assume these would activate 300GB data. You can call Boost support and check with them before buying.
