Not the most exciting OzB deal, but it's a good price! (& a good chance to offset some of the KFC, from last month's deals)

  • Both Coles and Woolies have been selling @ $3.90 - $4.50 lately, for reference.
  • Woolworths is also letting you choose any combo of 2 veggies for $5, and $2.50 for each additional item.

I knew it before I even click on it.

  • small.

    • Coles Cauliflower Medium

and I got an order from Woolies on the way, so lets see

      • Small seems very fair now…. I just picked my order up, they're actually med/large - but, I only received 1!
Receipt shows 2 supplied/ charged. (I didn't neg you btw)

I also used Cashrewards, does anyone know if getting a refund from WW for the missing item is a credit, so it wont screw the cashback? I've never had an issue before and am worried it will screw the CB up…

  • Coles doesn't show 2 for $5

Cut it up, drizzle olive oil, sprinkle chicken salt, mix evenly and into air fryer for 12mins until lightly roasted. You'll never see the kids polish off cauliflower so fast.

    • +5

Brussels sprouts are my favourite veggie go figure (when roasted brown as well )

Browning cauliflower / any brassica makes them 10000x better and actually enjoyable. trouble is most kids grew up having them over boiled without salt… no wonder kids hate the stuff

Cover with a crap load of cheese.

The trick to delicious veggies that anyone will love: Bacon / Cheese / Butter / Copious amounts of sauce where you cant even taste them, or deep frying them in oil.

It's still healthy right, cause Veggies, and what not??

      Cook in butter even better

My go to is Moroccan seasoning, olive oil and honey. It’s so yummy

You might get cauliflower ears if you eat too much of it! Outback SA says no deal! No 2 for 5 here!

    • Outback only has IGA, no?

      • +1

IgA, 1km from me, Woollies and Coles 45km, but Woollies delivers to me.

    • Children in SA rejoice! Thanks for confirming, will update

    • Nothing at my Coles SA Metro Store - on sale for $3.29 each

'Exciting' is in the eye of the beholder. Good deal, thanks OP!

Finally. Missus has been asking me to get her some flowers. Now she can have two.

    • Will match your ears after you give them to her

  • Are these the baby ones

    • +1

No, got some today they're quite large

  • +1

They’re in season in Victoria I believe

  • Lucky me, Just ordered and picked up the Cauliflowers: I was charged for both, but received 1… No refund given by WW - I got quite the deal…

Does anyone know how the Olive assistant thingo works? I've used Cashrewards and dont want to invalidate a large cashback. Do they provide a credit instead of refunding the orignal payment method?

    • +1

Yes. Voucher code if you purchased online, and you can use it in the next 3 years, but only to be used online and not in store.

      • Thanks so much for helping!

In case you remember: I read online Woolworths refund to original payment method, so do you know if it confirms it will be a credit/code before accepting? I have about $20 worth of cashback that might get invalidated, so a bit worried…

        • +1

I don't think it tells you before it issues you the refund. It just said they've processed the refund and you'll receive an email. Actually I always pay with Woolworths e-gift card hence that's why they issue me an online credit.

If you paid with credit or debit card I think they would refund you in the original payment method… So best not to do any returns if you're pending cashback ;)

No 2 for $5 at Coles, at least at neither of my two local stores (WA)

    • Sorry about that, edited the title now, ty

  • +1

    No deal for WA.
I checked both Coles and Woolworths – prices are still full. Even when clicking on the Coles link in this post, it shows full price. The Woolworths link shows the “2 for $5 winter veg” deal, but when you check properly, cauliflower is excluded.

Thanks for checking, deals been updated

Often $2 each at my local grocer… worth shopping around

  • +3

A veggie with all the vowels!

  • I was at Coles earlier today, and they also had 2 for 5

  • +1

I got excited about making roasted cauliflower soup, then realised not my state (again) :(

  • +2

NSW & got them @ coles for $3 each, labelled as medium but arrived a great size closer to L, worth it imo. Always good to see veggies on ozb.

Cauli bacon soup is a good option too.
Any other go-to's other than a straight roast?
Usually load chicken korma curries wirh them too.
