I stumbled on a bit of a glitch with the Big W website which allows free shipping on any $20+ order.

The code 'BOOKWEEK' is meant to allow free shipping for any $20+ spend on books or costumes.

  1. Add $20 worth of books or costumes to your cart and apply the BOOKWEEK code.
  2. Add whatever you actually want, still has to be $20 worth.
  3. Remove the books/costumes and free shipping should remain.

In my case, I had missed this deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/919945) which was an Amazon deal that had been price matching Big W. However, using the glitch above I was able to order a couple of cases through Big W with free shipping. Hope this helps someone.

    Anything "book" seems to count. I wanted that art kit too, added a 25c exercise book (https://www.bigw.com.au/product/brilliant-basics-9-x-7-exerc…) to bring the total over $20 and it worked.

    They nixed all my attempts to add and remove so they seem to have caught that, but not this. At least not yet anyway. Cheers OP.

      I could not get the removing items from cart method to work, but this did. Thank you sir.

      Weirdly it wasn't even working with a cookbook in my cart, was adding postage at checkout, but the 25c exercise book did the trick.

      Nope, just placed an order. Though, just in case you went full space cadet like I did, be mindful that you need to select the shipping type (regular / express) first, then apply the coupon, then remove the book, then it remains free shipping for anything else in your cart allowing you to check out.

If you don't check the site multiple times per day, I would recommend subscribing to the 'a deal reaches +30 votes in 30 minutes. event subscription, to get an email when a super popular deals are posted, without waiting until the newsletter when it is likely gone.
