Haha what are the odds—I was literally just watching this when your post popped up. It’s like the universe is spying on me… or maybe my phone really is listening. Either way, perfect timing!

    • Literally?

    • I came here to post this. Saw it a few weeks ago too

Not even worth $70 the guy behind it is a marketing genius though, great doco on grey goose. Average $30 bottle is just as good and save the $40.

    • No alcohol is worth $70 for 700ml which is why I'm not and only paying $20 after cashback and referral cash

Otherwise I'd stick to my 98 point $30 Shiraz

    • Got a recommendation for a particular $30 bottle?

I go for Vodko O which is just as good as the Goose.
    $59 for 1ltr so $41.40 after CB

    • Wodka O much better in my experience.

  • What's a premium vodka?

Beluga is a fantastic drop, but you’ll be fuelling the Russian war machine if you buy it, and we know how OzBargain’s Palestinian / Israeli / [insert favoured state of choice here] friends feel about indiscriminately punishing every citizen and company from their chosen axis of evil nations.

Less controversially, $50 for a bottle of grey goose is worth every cent over whatever you’d pay for Smirnoff / Russian Standard / Absolute. I’ll be the first to concede that the taste is barely indistinguishable (it’s vodka - so has a very mild taste profile) but your head will be very much better the morning after if you end up having a session on it.

      Thanks OP!

Agreed. Old mate turning his nose up thinks he's drinking wine where the quality and flavour profile is distinct on the palate. I can drink a bottle of grey goose in a session in Bali and wake up for my 8am beach walk no issues. I've been frightfully Ill on Smirnoff and Absolut. Same bar same staff same service. Would never pay more than $55 for it but I'll happily buy it.

          Well said.

Not “premium” per se, but “Haku” is a fantastic mid-range vodka which can often be had for under $60, for anyone willing to try a Japanese flavour. Great taste profile and similar to Grey Goose in its ability to be consumed en masse without taking a piece out of you the next day.

Honourable mention to US “Prairie” organic vodka. Again, only mid-range and probably not quite as refined as Haku if you’re sipping over ice, but if you’re mixing and drinking in volume, is very gentle on the palate and the head…

  • I heard that grey goose is basic vodka pretending to be good.

    Belvedere > Grey Goose

    • I got downvoted for suggesting this

  • Why did I bother using Cashrewards with BWS, never tracks…

    • Keep trying mate. I use an android phone either chrome or duck duck go browsers from the cash rewards app and never missed a tracking. Even after I cancelled cash rewards memberships and started again with new mobile phone numbers and email addresses.

I used to find ShopBack didn't track
