Picked up one of these 2nd hand and can confirm they are great. I would pay this price even though I do believe they have been lower in the past.

    • Good for assembling ikea cabinet?

      • I'd say necessary. How someone can build a flatpack without this I have no idea.

        • +1

Because the countertop looks too small for flatpack assembly

How are you going to assemble something like a Billy bookcase on this? Look at the pics and how small the top is. It's for small jobs. To suggest it's not only good but necessary for assembling flat pack furniture is ridiculous.

Have wanted one too but previously gone down to $145-155 mark so not tempted enough by this price.

Was going to impulse buy (have no immediate use), but decided to set a price alert when it drops below $150 instead.

  • The 3 disc sander 20 seconds from the end of the video looks interesting.

I picked one of these up a little while ago when they were on sale at $155, quite happy with it.

Way more sturdy than the cheapys that lots of brands do, and folds up better as well. Only real complaint so far is that the frame/mounts on the bottom of the boards sit too close to the edges and it can be get a clamp solidly on the edge of the worktable. Had similar issues with the cheapy too, but would have liked a bit more overhang on this I guess.

    • Yep - absolutely this.

My only other complaint is that the maximum jaw opening size is 85 so it can't hold a piece of 4x2 (90x45), face-up/down, so I had to use quick grips to clamp to the bench (which is how I first discovered the clamping issue around the edges). But hey, it's made really plain in the Amazon description…

Max. clamping width (between bamboo boards): 85 mm

I made some small additions (bracing) to the 26$ craftright one of these, its of course not as good but way more affordable!

  • I bought this for woodwork but have so far just used it for my dog’s grooming. It’s a good bit of gear.

    • So many places to go with your grooming of dogs…….

      ;o)

You’re game (grooming dog with circular saw)

  • I own this one - It's actually a very sturdy table and I use it as a general purpose support table. It's super adjustable. Haven't used it for any woodwork yet.

  • I believe that I bought this one about 4 years ago for $120.

  • I got this for around $140 and it’s been totally worth it for DIY woodworking. I also picked up two Craftright ones for rough cuts, but this one is so steady and durable that I keep it just for precision cuts. If I had to buy it again, I’d happily pay $175.

  • If you're limited in space these would be good but if you have room a custom workbench will be a much better long term proposition
