Expired SFZ 14.1" FHD Portable Touchscreen Monitor

It has ceased to be? Pushing up the daisies? Rests in peace? Bereft of life? Passed on? Gone to meet SFZ?

already have one of these, been meaning to set it up as a home assistant dashboard

    touch screen works great

    • What sort of device were you thinking of plugging it into ?

      • I have an old pi 4 sitting around

It works fine, I just need to build the dashboard

  • Seems to be coming up as US$57.75 before tax?

  • Portable mean it has a battery or is it going to drain my phone real quick?

    • no battery, powered by the device via USB-C

    • You can duct-tape a portable battery to the back of this and make your dream come true

      • true, since the portable monitors usually have two USB-C input

Now back in stock and available for delivery to Australia, priced at 41.85 USD before GST

I bought this a couple of weeks ago for a similar price ($49 USD)

Had a cluster of bad pixels, so am in the process of returning it.

Otherwise, out of curiosity while I had it, it worked great plugging it into a bunch of different devices. Almost everything I've tested has displayed and powered on the screen, with touchscreen working, over a single USB-C cable.

There is some colour banding, but it is otherwise bright with good contrast and vibrancy. Shame about the defects.

    • Ta. I hope mine arrives without too many dead pixels. I ordered it a few days ago.

One of the AliExpress reviews mentioned that the touch works with DeX, but the speakers don’t. I’ll update here once I’ve tried it out.

Mine arrived, and I'm really happy with the quality. I'm using it with my S24, and everything works—screen, touch, sound, charging. There was a strange bug with DeX where the screen went black when the cursor wasn't showing, but it fixed itself.

  • Mine arrived today. Couldn't see any dead pixels. Works with Motorola Ready For including audio out. Pleasantly surprised by the quality. Monitor control stick is small and fiddly but happy with purchase.
