    I had been looking at the blower vac (https://www.tradetools.com/ego-56v-brushless-cordless-3-in-1…) but this seems more powerful as just a blower, if I'm reading the specs correctly.

      I've been looking at that one too. Wouldn't get it if you mainly need a blower. 3 in 1 never going to be as powerful as stand alone blower. Reviews seem reasonably favourable from what I've seen.

    I reckon this is not a bad deal, free hedge trimmer by redemption. Only 2.5 Ah battery but.

    The blower is great but it’s heavy with a 5A battery on it. Much more usable with a 2.5.

      Chews through battery on turbo mode though. Depends on how much you need to blow I guess.

    Be aware, this model is an absolute dud. Went through three of them because of faulty electronics. The repair agent that i took them to had 3 others to repair with exact same problem.

      This kit that includes mower + blower + 2 x 10Ah batteries + 5Ah battery (redemption) looks like the best deal. That is their newest model of mower with more power than the older models (excluding the commercial mower).

          I mow in late afternoon especially in summer. A few times I've had to use the headlights if a neighbour comes over and chats for a while and puts me behind. The headlights really highlight where you have mowed and haven't, like those stick vacuums with the LEDs that highlight the dirt.

          I use the lights occasionally to finish a mow, especially in winter when the sun sets early and I have misjudged how long the job will take. Not usually mowing when it is totally dark, but they are helpful at dusk as the light starts to fade enough that you can't see where you have mowed.

        Ego have just released this mower in the last few weeks which is now the top of the range in their domestic lineup. It has a slightly wider deck (+1"), deck is also made of different material. More Torque too, bigger bag and a few other minor differences.

      I have tried selling new ego products on marketplace and its not easy probably because unless you supply a receipt there is no warranty.

      Selling the batteries is pretty easy on eBay I've found. I typically get 75%+ of retail price. I often do this to help offset the cost of the tool as I generally have enough batteries.

          Keep an eye on eBay then I reckon if you don't need any more eBay tools. Should be able to pickup new 5Ah battery for under $300 that someone's pulled from a kit.

          Come to think of it,I actually wouldn't mind the hedger and blower from this kit, so I could probably buy this and sell you the battery for for say $260 + delivery if interested? No eBay seller fees if we go direct.

      Makes quick work of making sure my driveway and road infront of my house is clear of 1 foot of leaves. It would be pretty hard work without it, ie with a rake. Also if I had to rake it, I actually won't bother and let the leaves rot and pollute the waterways.

      When you're done mowing and edging how do you remove all the grass and dirt debris off your paths and roadway? Blower does this so much faster than a broom.

      Don't understand this comment. Time is money and the time I save with a blower is much better spent doing something with my kids. I don't see how that's inconsiderate? Anyhow, I use it mainly on areas if the yard where we have loose stones with pavers, which are impossible to rake or sweep with a broom.
