Vinh bro this comment is getting repetitive.

100%.Govt employees and student portal deals are annoying AF.

    • We all work for the government considering how much tax we pay! XD

  • Employee email required

  • im guessing samsung oleds still don't have dolby vision?

    • +1

      Correct.

    • -5

does it matter though? most people use soundbars so its not true dolby anyway

      • Wrong Dolby reference.
Dolby vision is referencing HDR with 12bit vs Samsung which only has 10bit HDR.
LG have Dolby vision and hdr10, Samsung only have HDR 10

  • Just to confirm. The 65 isn't as good right?

    • Not that it isn't good, it just doesn't use a Samsung QD-OLED panel. It uses LG's WOLED panel.

What about AI/ subscription 'stuff" that will be free for 10 mins..then you start paying for it. Can it run Google, or is it only Tizen (which then gets disbanded in 2 years).

        Any of that?

Last time I bought Samsung was when everyone was rocking Nokia 5110's and I bought a "cheap trash asian brand" phone going by the name Samsung.

        • No subscription based services aside from your regular apps that you must pay for (obviously). OS can't be changed and you will need to purchase an NVIDIA Shield for Google TV (or the like).

Samsung is a major player in home entertainment. I have an S95B and QN90A in the house and they're both excellent TVs.

      • P.S. will be in a north facing room..full sun.
        Looks like the 65 is a gloss screen? 55 isn't ?

          • @Maths Debater: That's so weird, most TVs, monitors I've seen that are qd-oled are matte finish and significantly cheaper then woled fully glossy monitors/TVs.

Exception some msi qd-oled which are glossy and Asus that are woled.

Personal preference, fully glossy as the colours are significantly more digital, vibrant and the picture is a lot clearer, sharper, not gloomy etc. This is especially useful if you'll be using it as a monitor or watching it from not that afar.

        • Its strength is also its weakness. This is the best TV for bright environments due to the anti reflective matte screen but at the same time, black uniformity at night with the lights on will be terrible due to the black raise. Only the QD-OLED has the anti-reflective matte screen.

      • so 55" S90F uses QD-OLED while 65" S90F does not?
        which other models use QD-OLED?

also is Samsung Tizen OS shit compared to LG WebOS or TCL google play software?

        • Correct, look at the model number and you can distinguish for yourself per the below.

          WXXY = QD-OLED
          EXXY = WOLED

S90F: All but the 55" use WOLED.
          S95F: All but the 83" use QD-OLED.

Tizen is garbage. It's the most unintuitive OS I have ever used and I have used them all. My favourite is WebOS because everything is direct and straight to the point. I'm personally not a fan of native Google TV either and much rather use my NVIDIA Shield. It's significantly more responsive and crashes less often.

    • It is also a very good price though with the above discounts.

  • +1

Have been holding off on this as have convinced myself tcl c8k is better unless you have a dark room. Also don't have to worry about kids/burn in but it is still very tempting.

    • Honest question - why would a C8k/Mini LED be better with kids?

      • Minor risk of burn in on the oled. Kids sometimes pause or just leave games on static screens to go do something else rather than turning it off.

    • Hmmmm no Dolby Vision support?

  • For those who have access to the Samsung store via Flare HR it's the same price there

  • anyone with access able to check how much for the 65 and 77 please?

    • 65 $2,149.50
      77 $4 499.25

      • Damn that's not bad for the 65.

  • 55" S90F and 65” S85F are the same price. Which one would you go for? QD-OLED panel or bigger screen size?

  • Thanks for the post. How did you get the loyalty voucher?

    • online chat, you need provide a photo of your Samsung device

      • Like a Samsung phone? How do I specifically ask for it? It it a special one for just the tv because I thought there were 10% loyalty vouchers or do they not give them out anymore? Also does the TV you send in have to be a tv brand? I have an old broken monitor so I hope that will work for the trade-in

        • So they give 5% codes to existing customer.

          Just ask for loyalty voucher

  • What about the S95F are they all QD-OLED? Thanks

    • Yes, model number ending with FAWXXY has QD-OLED

      • @tc423: Spewing, I had a s95 55 inch for 1800 that samsung canceled I contacted them and their reason was stock did not come through.

      • which models of Samsung is QD OLED?

Is there much difference with the W-OLED?
and that is the same panel in the LG C5 models?

Does LG use any QD-OLED in any of their TV models e.g. G5?

    • The 83" is WOLED.

  • Buyer Beware: The TV does a disappointing job of displaying deep blacks in a bright room. Blacks look increasingly gray as your room becomes brighter, so the image looks washed out, and you lose the impactful picture quality this OLED has in a dark room.

    • Thats normal with QD OLED, i bought this tv and this issue is hard to notice

  • +1

Igot this few days ago, best tv I have ever seen IRL. So happy with it and the fact it has no matte coating makes it even better. Its so bright i need to turn the brightness down lol

  • Is this out of stock? The deal is still going but I was going to wait to buy it 😞. Hope it comes back soon

    • 55 is OOS.

      • 😭
