        they expected it to sell a lot better so mass produced the media.. same happened with atari and E.T. - they expected to sell a hell of a lot of them but ended up burying thousands of cartridges in the New Mexico desert because it was cheaper than warehousing them.

          Aye, probably thinking of AC Shadows which was a similar story but Ubisoft.

          Dragon Age is Bioware which is now owned by EA.
          Real shame tbh because the previous Dragon Age games like Origins were really good.

        I don't think that's the reason why.

        The current decline in Ubisoft's share price is linked to the market's reaction to the deal with Tencent. As a reminder, at the end of March, the company announced that with the support of the Chinese giant, it would establish a subsidiary that will own the franchises for Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six. As part of the deal, Tencent will purchase 25% of this subsidiary for 1.16 billion euros.

        The deal was particularly negatively received by the investment fund AJ Investments, which owns 1% of Ubisoft's shares. On April 3, it, along with a group of minority investors, announced that it is filing a lawsuit against the French company. The plaintiffs demanded that Ubisoft renegotiate the agreement with Tencent towards a direct sale of assets for 4 billion euros, with 75% of the proceeds distributed to shareholders as dividends.

        Ubisoft's shares began their sharp decline in January 2021. Since then, their value has plummeted by 88%.

    This must be the worst game of all time. I bought this deal because I want another bluetooth mouse, but not sure if it's worth wasting my time playing the game.

          I normally don't care about woke stuff, nor do I partake in any activity or discussion about it. I didn't like the gay stuff in The Last of Us 2, but I kept playing and it turned out to be one of the best games in recent history. I quickly platinumed that game.

          But this game is something else. It pains me to see one of my favourite game franchises (in this case just Origins) come to this. The choice of colours, the dialog, the artwork, the characters, everything about it pisses me off.
