Exetel One Plan - Partial Crediting of Old Plan Mess up

To those that switched to exetels new "one plan" during the previous deal post and were already under them and didn't wait for the old cycle to end/end the plan early. Go chat with them. I was never partially credited for being a few days into my old cycle, and had to make a few live chats/emails about the issue, and finally received a response this morning that I had no bills outstanding (well duh, that wasn't the issue), and when I pointed that out, it seems they just gave up and decided to refund me for my last 2 cycles. I'll update if the refund goes through, but if anyone else is in the same boat, maybe try your luck and have a chat to them about it, by their own website you should've been entitled to a partial credit if your old cycle had remaining/unused days.

"What happens with billing?
If you are moving to The One Plan your existing service will be cancelled, and any unused days will be pro-rated. For example, if you had 20 more days in your existing Exetel billing period, you will be refunded or credited 20 day's worth of service.

It will take one business day from your move to The One Plan for Exetel to process the refund back to the nominated payment method on file. It can take up to 7 business days for this to reflect with your bank.

If the payment method is not current (you have an expired card on file), missing or the refund fails then the balance will be issued as credit towards your next invoice. If you have chosen PayTo as your new payment method with The One Plan, we will not issue you a refund to your existing payment method when you move over to The One Plan, instead you will receive a credit which can be used for your next invoice."

Edit 27/08

Can confirm that the refund went through, they refunded me $55~ roughly for the partial month and $80 for the 2nd month on the new one plan

  • yes, they messed up mine. Instead of refund they took partial payment when the billing is forward. Checking with them now.

  • The old Exetel has of this year been assumed into the Super Lucky loop de loop support/sales/marketing/spin/profit machine I spotted James new company he is at is now a competitor and after I fix the exemail cluster foo bar that the email dumping (move) has caused me I will look at James's new company and if it looks good I will move as James was IMHO great at running Exetel after his father passed away.
