Once again Finder with the Health Insurance Cashbacks.
Now that credit card churning is dead we may as well make the most of the Liberal lobbyist forced PHI loading.
Just churned the compare the market shopback offer which stacks with NIB's 8 weeks free so i didn't pursue this.
Not sure how you'd confirm if you're one of the first 391 customers though.

To be eligible for the Offer:
Create a Finder member account if you are not already a Finder member.
While logged into your Finder Member account:
Complete a health insurance quote on the Finder Comparison Service.
Click on the unique promotion link on the Finder Comparison Service, and.
Be one of the first 391 customers to sign up and start cover for an Eligible Cover via the HBF website after 12.01pm AEST 14th August 2025 and before 11.59pm AEST 30th September 2025.
Maintain Eligible Cover until the Reward is fulfilled.
Be a new HBF policyholder or have not held an HBF policy (hospital and/or extras, including urgent ambulance) in the last 12 months (excluding dependants coming off a family policy).
Pay premiums monthly or fortnightly via direct debit and ensure payments are up to date at the time of the Fulfilment Eligibility Check.
Provide the email address used to obtain the health insurance quote on the Finder Comparison Service and to purchase the Eligible Cover on the HBF website.
Customer's first name, last name and email address must match exactly in the health insurance quote on the Finder Comparison Service and the purchase transaction on HBF’s website.
Only one Reward may be claimed for each transaction that meets the eligibility criteria.

  Great shout OP. Looks like you can get the most basic hospital and extras cover to qualify, which would make this a nice little earner when combined with the 6 weeks free after 31 days.

    When will you get the reward?

    We’ll check your eligibility on 31 December 2025.
    If eligible, you’ll receive your $300 reward via email from our reward partner by 31 January 2026, or within 90 days of signing up (whichever is sooner).
    Ensure your plan is still active and payments are up to date.

  This eligibility check thing is crap. I was banking pn the $300 gift for Medibank deal and got an email after 2 months of signing up that I was not eligible for the reward. It also said "Think this might be a mistake? Our support team is here to help" and then I got myself into that rabbit hole.

    I contacted them after was declined.. They replied next day that, yes, you're eligible. Got $300 today.

  If you have PHI already, just call retentions team and ask for a discount. I got an instant 16% discount just for saying I seen a cheaper policy elsewhere, didn't clarify that the cheaper policy had way worse extras cover (I have 100% general dental unlimited including fillings). With gold + extras you'll save this amount in ~4 months, lower plans 6-12 months. This you have to be with them for over 4 months, so if you're gold+extras it's not even worth it over getting retention discounts.

  They gave me the discount for a year, then I switched and switched back during cooling off period to bluff them, so they reapplied it for another 3 years AND extended my age based discount. This was with BUPA.

  Another alternative is specialised ones, (teachers health fund, emergency services health, etc). Just find someone in the family in one of the industries and you qualify. Emergency services is probably the best I've seen, $300-350ish for gold+top extras (80% general dental and they pay like $214 for 3 surface fillings, way higher than anyone else, so you can even go private).

  Teachers health fund is less but not 100% on general dental and more like $130 for 3 surface, so you have to go to places that accept their crappy cover.
