Bargain. Got the purple number 8 one which is my go to pod. Cheapest I've ever seen them. Cheers

    • normally these amazon ones are early expiry dated, most stuff I bought from amazon like coke etc always have early expire date compared to supermarket ones. Not sure if just my unlucky but will wait for others to comment.

      • +1

Never had an issue personally. Even if they were out of date I doubt I'd notice the difference anyway.

I always see this brand as 'Lord of the Rings"

  • Thanks OP, it's been a long time since they've been this low. Bought 3 packs for the better half :D

  • Got some caramels, thanks OP.

Good find, I foolishly bought the ristretto ones during prime day so stocked up for a while, much prefer these ones though.

  • For those in the know, is the L'OR Espresso Coffee Lungo Profondo - Intensity 8 the replica of Nespresso Arpeggio?

    • +1

Yes. I used to get Arpeggio and moved to L'OR 8s

    • No. It tastes different

  • Is the lungo estremo any good?

    • +1

      Yes, it is.

  • Have been buying non-nespresso pods for a while now.

Nespresso haven’t had a buy 160x get 40x or other equivalent offer in months.

  • Grabbed 3x. Thanks OP

  • Good price. Was $36 during Prime Day though, I believe.

  • bummer paid $45 yesterday from Amazon.. :(

  • Can anyone recommend me an Nespresso pod machine? I bought one of those Espressotoria machines from woolies years ago and now those pods are sooo expensive

5.2g of coffee per serve @ 38c each = $73 / kg of coffee. Wow and thats with 44% off and a non premium brand.

    • +1

The price you pay for convenience.

    • +2

Yeah true, but 1kg of pods can make about 5 times more cups then the beans machine, plus pods ones are way less messy.
What I still find interesting is how just 5.2g in a pod can taste so much better, while using five times that amount with beans ones tasted a bit watery. Do the pods have artificial flavors/ingredients?

Moccona Barista Reserve Dark Roast Espresso – Intensity 10 is $32.8 for 100 at the moment ($29.52 after subscription).

  • Is it easy to remove the pod seal and heat it up with milk?

  • +2

Would be nice if you could get a mixed set instead of 100 of the same pod.

EDIT: I should have searched harder: https://www.amazon.com.au/LOR-Assortment-Aluminium-Compatibl…

  • For some reason my first order for these was $37.80, second was $25.60 and the 3rd was $0. No idea whats going on there so will see what turns up today

  • Best flavor Papa New Guinea unavailable.

    • Our family didn't like it.
We found Ultimo, Estrimo and Ristretto to be the best

  • Will these work in Vertuo. ?
Parent bought dud machine that's fussy about pods

    • No.

Cheap solution for Vertuo is to keep empty pods and fill them ground coffee and use a resealing kit

      • Cheap solution for Vertuo is to chuck it out and buy another classic machine :)

  • Just received my order of the Colombia one, whipped up an expresso and got to say I was very impressed. Very smooth. Expiry is May 2026.

Waiting to receive second order of the Lungo Profondo to see how that compares to the Nespresso Arpeggio.

Hard to go back at this price!

    • Depends on how tou have your coffee - milk, sugar etc - but Arpeggio is much better imo.

  • thanks op, ordered one pack and received today, BBD mid 2026 (good to go!)
