Want one that actually works preferred lithium though nimh will do as long as it works. Only really after personal recommendations. Has anyone got one they recommend? Thank you

I like the Philips Multigroom mg7950/15.
OK for beard trimming.
Great for body trimming.
Has nose and ear attachments.If you don't care about body trimming there's probably better ones out there, but I like this as an all in one.
Buy it on special, should be $100 max but has been as low as $75.
I suggest getting a seperate beard and nose hair trimmer.
All the best beard trimmers I've used, do not have nose hair attachments.

For nose hair — try a rotary (non-electric) trimmer, like the Dovo Klipette.
They just work better, are easier to clean, and do not require charging.Agree with having separate tools.
But I disagree re the rotary ones, for me they push the hair over instead of cutting. Prefer the blades style.

is your beard short or long?
I have the Phillips multigroom 7790 which is pretty good, mine’s about 5 years old and battery lasts months between charges.
In the past I had the 5 star detailer (corded version of this https://au.wahl.com/shop/gold-detailer-li-trimmer-3023835) which is better than the Phillips for short beards and stubble. Keep away from sensitive areas though!!
Even with an all in one I still use my 20 year old nose/ear trimmer over the all in one. I have an older version of this one that is the size of a pen, uses one AAA every couple of years.
