Seems like a good deal for a well-rated neck pillow.
Previous deal credit to Rinny0.

Why not just use a normal pillow?
The chair straps stop your head bouncing around and waking you up.
I read some comments saying straps that go on/behind the seat are no longer allowed. Does anyone have this sort of experience?
I experienced the person behind me undoing my straps
Why would they undo the straps on what is your seat?
I asked the same thing which they responded, “I’m just trying to 'loosen up' the in-flight experience"
Because it comes round into "their" space. A passenger's "territory" is what they can touch/see. If you're stuck on a long flight, they might not want other's stuff impinging on what they feel is theirs.
There's also a good chance that it would be going across any seat back screen.
I've always just tied in on to the wings of the head rest.
Cheaper/domestic flights dont have adjustable headrests in their seats. Then again, you probably dont need one of these on shorter flights.
Maybe try the wings of the plane in that case
@Soapdroid: Air marshall didn't like me opening the doors over the wings. Will try a Boeing next time that has self-opening doors.
I have both S3 and Cool 2.0, personally prefer Cool 2.0
That's good to know
Does the cool 2 have the strap at the back?
Can't see it in the images
no, cool 2 doesn't have strap. Since I’m a bit short, the S3’s strap actually doesn’t work that well for me.
I bought this exact one for a recent flight to the UK. Do not bother if you're over six feet tall. You can't use the straps to attach it to the head rest as the pillow sits higher than the head rest. It's a bit average without the straps.
Use some kind of fabric pins and pin to the seat fabric.
Won't work for leather seats though, well it would work, but….
It wouldn't. It sits higher than the head rest. There is nothing above the head rest to pin it to.
The idea is to not let the head fall forward, so it won't really matter if you're higher, as long as you can pin the strap on. Straps will be downwards which should be fine
@dealmaker: You genuinely don't have a clue what you're talking about. I've just flown half way round the world with this thing and tried multiple methods. It. Does. Not. Work. Even if the flight attendants would allow you to stick pins in their seats (they won't) and they wouldn't come out (they would) it would make zero difference. Take a piece of string, secure one end, hold it up vertically (which is how any strap would sit when you're this tall) and pull the top of the string to the side. Oh look, it provides zero lateral restraint until you're now in a position where your weight is actively throttling you against the collar.
@banana365: Nice, thank you for the 'thanks for trying to help me' so kindly response. What a moron that's roamed the whole world with a slouched neck !!!
The straps are at the back, pin the two straps in the similar spot in the middle, not in the same spot, slightly spaced. Don't take it to the side. There's your physics lesson. Now you won't fall forward. That'll get you mostly OK. You could also put 1 at the top and 1 on the dominant side to prevent the side rolling at least on one side. Not that hard to add a third strap to it yourself too, using the same pins and fix to the other side too. That should keep the tall head in place for the journey.
I decided against buying this pillow while headed to Japan, because it seemed overpriced. On arrival to Tokyo, we dropped off our bags and went straight to a masseuse because my neck was absolutely dead on arriving.
We made sure to pick up a pair of these before leaving Tokyo because of that, and it's made flying so much better. If I lost it and was flying, I'd buy another one at airport prices without hesitation (except for maybe trying to decide between this and the cooling version). At a discounted price, it's a no-brainer.
These are great and also way overpriced. At this price, get one!
Saw it at TKMaxx under $30
Do people actually lug these massive pillows around with them for their entire trips?
I've lost a pair of earbuds on the plane having them on with this neck pillow. The height of the pillow was enough to play around with the ear bud in ear and go loose. Once it fell out of my ear and onto the ground of the plane, the earbuds were lost.
Yes that's happened to me too
It was a wild hunt trying to find the bud
Well worth it at this price. Slept 6 hours straight with it when I usually struggle to do 3.
