I've me mention this on previous post.

They'll cancel your departure flight. Leaving YOU to try booking another flight (and maybe pay price difference) . But if you cancel your entire trip then you lose money on your return trip.

Or they'll delay your flight and when you check in for the delayed flight they tell you've missed check in time because you're supposed to check in at the original flight time. Hence you've missed the flight. And YOU need to book another flight and pay the price difference.

    • Why would they do that?

    • Jetstar really have a great racket going. Get people onto their subscription based service to get "cheap" flight sales a day early, then delay or cancel their flight. Customer then has to pay the difference they would have saved. Profit!

  • Last time I posted a Jetstar deal based only on a news article, mods took it down.

  • Can't find a single ticket for $29 from Melbourne. I checked at around 12:40pm.

Are youa jetstar.com member? If not you won't find any $29 tickets. They are in sale to the public from midnight.

      • Even if you are not a member, you will still see member fare but to avail that you will need to get jetstar membership

    • I booked a couple of $29 weekends to QLD so they were definitely there. Most of the $29 tickets though were only available on Tue & Wed which was disappointing.

Subscription based gatekeeping is such a scummy tactic to get people to fomo into flights that are overinflated any other non sale day. Would not be surprised if the amount of seats offered are artificially scarce too. Jetstar could offer interstate flights at a cheaper cost year round but choose not to, since they can easily get people buying into their subscription based rubbish in the hope of getting cheaper flights.
