Terms and conditions

This promotion is open to members who have successfully activated the bonus offer within their Cashrewards 'For You' page ("Eligible Entrants"). To qualify for the $5 bonus, Eligible Entrants must shop online using a Cashrewards platform between 25 August 2025 12am AEST and 28 August 2025 11:59pm AEST
with a minimum spend of $20 (including GST, but excluding delivery and other fees) on a single eligible purchase and where such purchase is a booking via a travel merchant, utilise that booking on or before 1 May 2026 ("Qualifying Purchase"). A Qualifying Purchase excludes the purchase of ineligible items as set out in the relevant store's special terms or items with a 0% cashback rate at the time of purchase.

Bonus cashback is calculated on the value of the Qualifying Purchase, including GST, but excluding delivery and other fees. If the Qualifying Purchase is tracked in a non-AUD currency, the bonus cashback will be calculated on the converted AUD value of the Qualifying Purchase (including GST, but excluding delivery and other fees) at the time it is approved by the store. The AUD value of a Qualifying Purchase may differ between the time of tracking and the time of approval due to exchange rate fluctuations. Eligible Entrants may track the progress of the bonus at any time on the 'For You' page in the Cashrewards website or app. Bonus will only appear under 'My Rewards', and be paid into the Eligible Entrant's Cashrewards account, after the associated Qualifying Purchase is approved by the store. Cashrewards Terms of Use apply to the use of the Cashrewards platform and any associated purchase. Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional purchases do not qualify for additional bonuses. Fraudulent or other activity in violation of the Cashrewards Terms of Use will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

"Sorry, you are not eligible for this promotion"….

    • Sorry, you are not eligible for this promotion.

  • Good for gift cards?

    • Yes.

    • Caution 7-Eleven-GC to buy fuel: there's NO-7-Eleven store in my state & if-block recently, GC is useless.

Tomorrow: plan to test-use $1 remaining-balance that I intentional left on my existing 7-Eleven GC…to buy fuel @ a local petrol-station….just in case they block-it recently.

  • My Prime Day $3 for $30 spend is still pending lol

    • +1

Same, but my $5 on $50 spend approved a little while back.

      • Maybe if you use CashRewards less-frequently, they'll offer deals to-incentivise.

My last CashRewards 7-Eleven-GC was purchased on 29-Jun-25, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/912648

        Every few-months, I get targeted-deals such as this post, & re-occur since Aug-24 🤔

  • Tired of chasing up all of these offers with Cashrewards.
Back and forth until they relent and honour the bonus.

  • It’s a targeted bonus - not available to everyone

  • I activated the offer from the email but it's saying "PENDING APPROVAL" in my account. What does this mean?

I already bought a gift card now I'm concerned this will not apply the bonus.

It likely will track for you - that is what happened to me when I did a different promotion.
If it doesn't end up tracking your gift card for that promotion, let their support know - I haven't had any bad support experiences with them yet.

  • Only $3 with $20 spend here.

  • "Sorry, you are not eligible for this promotion"….

  • @WookieMonster,

Can you share your expertise in adding a 7-Eleven-GC I purchased via this deal: can't add to Wallet (Android14), error-> https://ibb.co/BHrHH9qX

I use the same process since Feb-25 for other 7-Eleven-GC: add as Payment-card, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16288054/redir

    Thanks champ

    • Unfortunately, I am not entirely sure what would be causing the error in your case.

I have been doing a lot of reading online recently on that error, and it appears to be generic error that can be caused on your side, the Google side or the Blackhawk Network side. For example:

      • The Google Wallet app or Google Play service on your phone is out of date.

      • Blackhawk Network - the scheme owner - did not provide the token to your card. That could be due to a fraud check on their end, a technical error when trying to generate the token, etc.

      • Google Pay prevented the card from being added. That could be due to a fraud check on their end, etc.

If you have already tried updating Google Wallet app and Google Play services, I reckon the first step is to contact Blackhawk Network and see whether there are any issues on their end that is causing you to encounter that error.

      • Thanks.

        Can I by-pass google-wallet…is there other way to get petrol-station to accept these Blackhawk-Network credit-card: 7-Eleven-GC?

        • The only ways to bypass Google Wallet would be:

          • Use Apple Pay or Samsung Wallet (but that is probably not very helpful for you, as it sounds like you do not have access to any relevant devices).

          • Attempt to use the gift card on an app you use to pay for fuel at a service station from your vehicle (e.g. EG Club app, FuelPay on the Ampol app). I think it works on the OTR app and the My 7-Eleven app as well. I doubt it works on the BPme app, because when I tried to add a new payment method to it a while ago, the MCC for the verification transaction was 5552 (Electric Vehicle Charging), which is not a supported MCC on the gift card.

I would be extremely surprised if a service station allowed you to manually enter the card's details on the EFTPOS terminal (i.e. MOTO transaction), as that is a riskier way for a service station to accept payment.

            @WookieMonster: @WookieMonster, thanks champ…seems like you work in this-industry.

I've wasted lot of effort, including trying the the options-suggested but NO-luck. Activ-Visa-Gift-Cards team (Andi, call-center in El Salvador) said that he initiated a RE-placement debit-card ~ 72hrs turn-around: email confirmation.

Weird: someone test loadED my 7-Eleven-GC on another-device via google-wallet & it works. Over the weekend, I updated MY-device to Android15 & it's still NO-good. Love the IT-checking that blocks-me…whatever it's, lol-> 'Google Pay prevented the card from being added. That could be due to a fraud check on their end, etc.'

  • @WookieMonster,

AmpolCash Digital GC with QR-code: update to, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16616034/redir
19-Aug-25: finally, I was able to use it to pay for petrol @ EG-Ampol. I can only use it with WoolWorth $0.04 discount-voucher ONLY.

Origin-Energy $0.02 discount: any attempt to use it on its-own &/or stack-it with any other-discount, eg WoolWorth $0.04-> FAIL

Don't we love the complexity of the Payment-Gateway system…with checking & blocking.

    Kind regards.

    • That is very strange, because when I went to an EG Ampol on the weekend, I scanned an Everyday Rewards card, a paper Woolworths fuel discount and the Origin fuel discount offer, and then used an AmpolCash Digital gift card as a payment method. I bought that AmpolCash Digital gift card at 6% off a couple of weeks ago…

      • My AmpolCash Digital GC with QR-code…note 'with QR-code', $0 remaining-> https://ibb.co/FLCXJ0JP

Maybe mine is different from your 'AmpolCash Digital gift card'…mine has MORE-restriction on the type of discount that is allowed?
