  • Any good movies to see?

      Weapons - IMDB - 7.8/10, RT - 94%
      Nobody 2 - IMDB - 6.7/10, RT - 78%
      The Naked Gun - IMDB - 7/10, RT - 88%

Some movies there that might not be worth an expensive ticket, but good for cheap

      • Add… Caught Stealing

New release this Thursday from Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler, Black Swan, The Whale), has Austin Butler and Zoe Kravitz, action crime thriller.

Pick of the current bunch is Weapons, Zach Cregger who is following up Barbarian and The Companion (Barbarian is my pick for a modern horror classic, must-see!). Has Josh Brolin, critically acclaimed expect to see it front-lining the Saturn Awards (but maybe not enough for Oscar noms).

      Ne Zha 2 - IMDB 8.1

Fantastic, detailed animation that looks great on a big screen.

      • do i have to watch 1 to understand 2?

        • +1

ideally yes, or watch a short summary video to get the context😉

Thus is march for Palestine or anti migration? Tough choice for Sunday.

      🍿😆

    • +5

Yeah i guess we’re spoilt for choice this weekend. I’ll probably split my time between two protests and movies to get a well rounded fun and entertaining experience

They already had their march this one's about here. Corruption, housing crisis, new taxes, digital laws, cost of living. Families should be going to cinemas often not fork out $100+ no popcorn or choctops yet.

You forgot the main agenda: The neo-Nazi Thomas Sewell described it as “our” public rally in a post to Telegram, calling for “White Australians” to assemble “against the traitors and foreigners”

        • +3

Yeah we know, every nutjob and his dog's trying to hijack it and the media will show nazi and anti-immigration all the nasty they want to show. But absolutely none about peaceful protests of different race raising the issue about corruption and hardship they're put under. The real war isn't right vs left it's top vs bottom.

    • March every week?

Funny how no highly anticipated movies are showing this time! Last year, it was Alien: Romulus. The year before, it was Chris Nolan's movie Oppenheimer.

    • Hollywood has been going down the hill + Trump's tariffs.

    • Barbie too - the year before.

What has that got to do with this post? Did you reply on the wrong post/thread?

      • +1

Replying from the comment above I guess. Older migration kids trying to stop younger migration kids.

    • Says an immigrant

  • Thanks OP, date night sorted!
