    No, one of the points is the 'base' point (maybe you could call it a hub) that connects to your NBN termination box via Ethernet.

      To add onto this, this is also compatible to add to an existing Google mesh Wifi (og puck) or Nest Wifi but is not forward compatible with the newest entry, the Wifi Nest Pro (6e)

      1 unit needs to be the router/modem connected to NBN box , while the other can only be used as an add-on connection but has perks of being a smart speaker….if that's someth you like.

      Shame I just bought a second hand single unit for my specific use case. Should've waited 2 days

        I'm waiting to have a Google speaker to connect to my reolink doorbell as a chime. Anyone has any idea if I can do this with the speaker alone or I'm better off buying a reolink chime?

      NBN is upgrading on 15/9. Many of us will get a free upgrade to 500Mbps instead of 100Mbps.
      Unless you're living alone, wifi 5 is just too slow for it.

          @keeperofthegood: I would run speed tests in your house and see how much it MAY be slowing your internet.

          I have this system and I only have one room where I notice a speed drop. There are a lot of variables.

  I have three of these and love how the points are also assistant speakers. But they are Soo old now I would not recommend anyone investing into them.
