Horrible device, previous gen was so much better. My personal reasons:
- They stick out from ears and fall off every time I put MTB helmet on
- It is harder to switch music on the run (previous gen required simple double tap, this one requires a double squeeze)
- Always struggle with putting them into the charging case (previous gen you just drop and they fit in place)
However, the sound quality is incredible. They also listen to the Hey Bixby command, an okay workaround for subpar touch controls.
Just to add my two cents, but these are far better than the previous gen.
The microphone is incredible on it - you can take work meetings at the supermarket and noone can hear any background noise. Absolutely top of the class.
Sound is average, about the same as previous gen.
Touch controls take some getting used to but are better than previous gen IMO once you understand them.
Battery is about the same as last gen, maybe 6 hours or so which is pretty normal for earbuds like this.
I think they're highly under-rated personally.

About 5 hours of battery life
I think this might be available again? So tempted but I have the buds 2 pro so not sure how much of an upgrade.
Excellent sound, terrible battery life !!! (less than 4 hours in real life)
