I wish we could easily set-up LTE smartwatches without a companion device and/or eSIM service in Australia. I would love if they operated as a standalone wrist-phone.

    • Step-by-step Guide
Open the Galaxy Wearable App: On your smartphone, open the Galaxy Wearable app.
      Access Hidden Settings:
Tap the three-line (hamburger) menu icon in the upper-left corner of the app.
      Tap on "About Galaxy Wearable".
Quickly tap the heading "Galaxy Wearable" about five times to reveal the hidden menu.
      Enable Test Mode:
      Tap on "Test ESIM Feature".
      Turn on "Current QR TestMode".
      Go to Mobile Plans:
Back out to the main screen of the Galaxy Wearable app.
      Tap on "Watch settings".
Scroll down and tap on "Mobile plans".
      Scan Your eSIM QR Code:
You should now see an option to add an eSIM via QR code.
Tap on the code option and use the scanner to scan your eSIM QR code.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

      • Thanks mate, but dont you still need to buy a separate esim for the watch? Or is it sharing the phone's esim?

        • Seperate esim. But you need one with a QR code

          • @easternculture: ic thanks…thought they could share the same plan…oh well

            • @homersyd: Wouldnt work on prepaid as the carrier needs to provision the 2nd esim for the other device on the same number. And its usually one esim per device.

      • Does this mean we can actually use the watche as a standalone device to call and message? That would be great.

      • I've tried this before and it wouldn't work. It also requires a companion device, which is partly what I'm having a sook about, and it requires both the companion device and the watch to be using the same provider last I checked.

It should be much simpler than that. You should simply be able to follow an eSIM link on your watch like I can on my phone.

Thanks for the effort though 🫂

The bluetooth version can be had cheaper elsewhere. Also, keep in mind that these are probably the overseas model.

    • The bluetooth version can be had cheaper elsewhere

Where? Keep in mind that I posted the deal for the purpose to stack with the current 30% TopCashback deal. This works out to be $209.30 plus shipping after cashback

Also, keep in mind that these are probably the overseas model.

Mobileciti and Big W are local stock model

      • If you get the cashback then yeah it will be cheaper, otherwise if you don't want the risk you can get locally for cheaper.

Pretty sure MobileCiti have sold the overseas version.

  • Dumb question re esim. If I've a normal physical sim for my phone with Optus, do I need to pay extra for them to give me parallel esim access on same service? Thanks

  • Does Jbhifi and office works price match Amazon?

  • why is this deal marked as expired? also, note there are refurbished items in the list too, so be careful which one you select - this is from seller Rebebelo

    • Because the 30% cashback from TCB that was meant to stack has expired

      • Thanks! lucky I was about to buy it :(
