most times they jack up their prices just before their sales, so you get charged slightly less or a bit more than the usual price
everyday price, this is what i find from the multiple "SPEND" sales GET $$ off.
I have always purchased more items cheaper before or after sales
sometimes leaving it in your cart, triggers them to entice you with further discounts also
Yeah, last time one of these deals came around I had my eye on something. Price jumped from $55 to $65 day of the deal. After the deal, the price stayed high for a couple weeks then went back down to $55.
Only use this deal on items where you track the price, otherwise Ali might be taking you for a ride.
I also found something similar to this behaviour,
but anecdotally speaking, the price of items are cheapest between March - May
and higher between August - October, in the lead-up to the 11/11 sales.
Also watch the GST rate at Checkout - Ali sometimes charges 17.5% to Aussies.

Do the Shopback/ Topcashback track if you pay in USD? Or Paypal pay in 4 for example?
Yes, I pay using Google Pay in USD and have never had an issue through TCB.
I’ve placed many orders before without issues, but this is the first time I’ve received an “unsuccessful” message from Ali even though the money has already been deducted (showing as pending). I used PayPal and tried again with fewer items, thinking it might be due to the order size, but the same thing happened. Now I have two pending transactions and my cart is still full.
Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be concerned, or will the pending transactions just drop off after a while?
doing this choice cart and another separate cart is so frustrating, unable to meet spend requirement for discount because of separate carts
