190

this config is decent for most people, 16/512 is plenty.
apple refurbished will look and feel brand new, just a different box. and eligible for Apple Care.

that's $136 cheaper than buying on AOC. and you can use Apple gift cards to save more.
even bit cheaper than buying same config MBA 15 on AOC. while having better speakers, screen, keyboard, ports etc.

1TB silver is $2379 here

    • As a general rule, Apple refurbs never beat others' refurbs in pricing.

    • Apple refurb is same as new, they never discount them really. I bought lots of refurb from them, never could find any signs of use

  • Hmm, this here is interesting, the MBA 15 inch refurb equivalent with the same chip is $2039 (from RRP $2399) but not in space black. Here is a sky blue one.

On the one hand the MBP has an RRP of $2499 and has better features overall (except screen size and weight) and will have higher performance due to the fan,
On the other hand is it makes at least some noise.
But the gripping hand this MBP has a bigger refurb discount than the MBA.

    • they created so much diversity in models especially it's really hard to choose between MBP 14 with the base chip (non-pro) and MBA 15. MBP has better screen, speakers, ports. plus can get those special SD cards and expand storage easily. but MBA 15 is thinner, lighter, and screen feels a bit less claustrophobic. feels like it should have been merged into the same model, an MBP 15 with good screen speakers and a tiny fan maybe lol but then who will buy MBP 14 Pro

really tough choice, and I pondered for a long time between the two, and ended up getting MBP 16 lol problem solved

      • Pretty sure this particular model MBP exists to be all about the headline RRP for the MBP line. From only $2499!!!!

        Yes MBP16 drool.

I chose the MBA myself, but in a more expensive 24GB/2TB config. Decided on the extra realestate as it is used without an external display. Even though battery is supposed to be 6 hours less, it goes forever anyways.

  • 14” MBP is the sweet spot imo.
I’ve also had the new gen MBA in both 13” and 15”.
I like how compact the 13” air is however the MBP certainly feels more ‘pro’ with the better screen, speakers, ports etc. only thing is the weight of the 14” is noticeable when comparing against the 13” air.
I expect we will see some good priced M4 MBP’s with the M5 expected soon.

    • IMO the M4 Pro is the sweeter one if doing anything with GPU demand such as AI based image editing. For $680 more you get doubled CPU performance core count, 60% more GPU cores, and 8G more RAM.

  • Just recently Paid $1980 for brand new 512 gb m4 pro at JBHIFI

    • Can you share more details.. how you got that pricing. Planning to buy one.
