If you're hanging onto an older iPhone with a Lightening connector I guess these may be of interest to you.

    • Description says 3.5mm Connector Cable is included. So theoretically it's usable with anything. Edit: After checking reviews, it actually comes with a seperate 2-pin to 3.5mm cable, so you could use that or your own 2-pin cable.

      • Yeah… if you just want a pair of expensive wired monitors you can. That basically takes the Apple Lightning connected DAC out of the chain. The reason these are so cheap is that the Lightning DAC is incompatible with new devices.

Don't know how these would compare to a $100 pair of good wired monitors.

really don't understand how the use of a term like lossless is justified in a corded headphone

Probably because it's using a lightning cable which will have a DAC. The description says:

      192kHz and 24-bit plug-and-play

      • yeh that's the only logic i can nut out as well

just weird choice from a marketing pov when i would've reckoned a $600 pair'd be oriented to audiophiles who'd be averse to spin like that

    • While I agree it's inappropriate to describe wired headphones as lossless, not all wired digital signals are lossless.

One example is Display Stream Compression, which is used for both HDMI and DisplayPort with 4k resolution and high frame rates.

You could also argue they're making a point of difference when compared to lossy BlueTooth audio protocols.

      • yeh it's not like the public are unfamiliar with compression, not really sure how that vesa standard relates to personal audio tbh

think the average person has some knowledge about wireless compression, certainly anyone ready to throw down north of $600 on a set of iems

Wow RRP of $650? In their dreams.

Imagine the pricing guy trying to justify the price tag 'if we build it, apple people will buy it'.

$650 is not that much in the realm of Hifi audio.

        For 'Questyle'? Pass.

    • usbc version is listed for $360 after discount

  • The frequency response looks (subjectively) terrible

    • I would also not believe any graph from manuf.
