I'm looking for a laptop for general applications (no gaming) and this seems like a reasonable deal with the 15% off.

Not a bad laptop for School kids. Good price, new battery. I have already bought for my son "IdeaPad Slim 5 (16″ OLED)" from another deal ($1,215.05 - $182.26 cashback). If I did not bought that, I may have consider this deal.
I had one of the think pads, and they're very solid devices! Take a few knocks and still work great. I have a non-slim IdeaPad now…they're not sturdy haha 😅
for school and carrying around the 14” vs 16” is a big deal for some people, but the 16” has much nicer screen when he is working on the laptop and not carrying it.
I worry the battery life.
Link?
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/918285 cashback depends on when you are ordering and what's the rate on the day.
I use lots of these for SMBs and the E16 versions too. They work well in that context and I've have only had one fail out of perhaps 25 now which is a decent score for a laptop…
They're a solid work device, not for gamers etc and hard to beat at this kind of price.
The colour accuracy is pretty bad…
Seriously, I don't know what is lenovo's obsession with 45% ntsc screens.
I've held off all of these deals over the years precisely because of the screen.
Also HP… you can chose between OLED amd LCD on some laptops. OLED is literally 100% P3, and LCD is 45% ntsc… wtf.
Good laptops over all. I have the previous generation and used another generation from about 6-7yrs ago. They are great work horses and the battery life is impressive
Bought a T14 Gen 1 with 4K recently for $400. Thinking about cancelling the order and getting this instead. Is this worth double the T14? Looking to use windows VM via Parallels and just simple work stuff and web development. Aside from performance, one thing that’s holding me back is lack of 4K on this one.
just bought laptop at one of the EOFY sales, if this had 4k i’d buy one, the only thing i don’t like about my current laptop (15.6”) is lack of 2.8k or 4k, but then 4k in 14” i’ve never seen one price would be crazy for that panel.
Can you tell the difference with 4K? Reddit says 4K is overkill for 14 inches.
The processor in this is 5 generations newer (i.e. way faster and more power efficient)! And this is brand new so the battery will last much longer as well.
You reckon I will notice the difference?
I would keep the laptop and keep the money
comes down to i5 1335u vs ultra 5 125u processors, with the ultra being newer and in theory a bit faster in multi-core but definitely worth close look if wanting to save some money.
It's also a great deal and you can save some money. There is the difference with the processor and DDR4 versus DDR5 RAM.
Other than CPU and ram speed, this is also missing a fingerprint reader. But a great deal overall for a ThinkPad.
This one is such a good deal for a school laptop, wish I had seen it before the 22% code expired :(
I start a new job and they require me to buy own laptop (contracting) - would this be ok for generic work use?
Yes, should be good enough. In fact, you can go with the Core i5 version for $685.62 from previous comment if you want to save money
If you're a contractor, it's not a job, it's a business (and don't forget to charge GST and pay yourself super). But yes, this would be totally fine for general office use
Any comparable options with touch screen? Apparently that’s a requirement for my son…
Wait Cashback site has 15% CB, then buy on lenovo.com.au
I am waiting for that myself as you customized the laptop with bigger battery (57) for my son to get through the whole day of school (high school).
Thanks, bought as a father's day gift to replace a 13 year old thinkpad on its last legs!
Hi, anyone knows how can I get the invoce from them? I sent messages to them, no response at all. And asked leveno support, they said they can only help if the purchase made from levono offical website.
Did you get the invoice and how?
Through "Contact seller" and send a message for the invoice. I waited for a week, and finally they replied to me and sent me the invoice.
