  • Is that a rebadged Roborock?

  • How does this compare with dreame L10s Ultra?

    • Cheaper I guess for the same suction, I'm sure there's other difference as well.

    • -1

L10 ultra has a really bad mop

      • +2

Ive had my L10 Ultra for almost a year and the mop is actually pretty good.

Ive got tile flooring and it good mopping light to moderate stains. If it doesn't clean it off the first time, I usually just get the robot to do a 2nd run "mop only".

Have my robot doing daily vacuum+mop and only every use my Tineco Steam Vacuum every other week.

  • is this JB trying to compete with the ALDI robo vac that is a special buy ?

    • Likely father's day coming up

  • Tapo making vacuum cleaner now ?

I also noticed they have the Roborock Q7B+ Vacuum Cleaner - JB Hi-Fi $499 https://share.google/WlQa8vBFTTwgmEBZl

This one has 8,000 pa suction, around 3,000 more than the TPLink offering for an additional $100.

    • After you posted that I checked on YouTube and decided on the Q10V+, currently $697 at Good Guys. 10,000 pa + vibrating mop.

      • Nice, I guess it's all upto your individual needs at the end of the day!

  • I have the rv20 which is the same mop. I have stopped using the mop feature as it's useless. Wouldn't bother with anything that doesn't at least use spinning mops.

  • +1

I've got the RV20 from the last deal. Works alright overall, but one annoying issue: if it gets stuck and I move it, then hit resume, sometimes it works fine, but most of the time it just roams around without actually vacuuming, basically wandering uselessly in the set area until it finishes the job. When this happens, I have to stop cleaning, send it back to base, and restart the job from scratch.

I recommend avoiding TP-Link if you’re at all concerned about your home network’s security.

    • +3

Is this something you've read on the internet and just rehashing?

    • Any Chinese brand will be compromised by China. An America brand likewise by America. They probably both have ai which combs through truckloads of data from all this stuff. It's grim but I don't think it's a far fetched take at all.

In short my main concern would be reliability of the vac. My lublulu going pretty strong still.

Don't like their modem's… I doubt this is any good.

    • +4

I have TP-link modem/Mesh network and it's great not a problem ever(2 years so far) This replaced a Google Mesh which was dropping out multiple times a day(same ISP)

  • Collected my unit today !

Just set it up with the wife she is stoked ! 😁

  • I bought this a few months ago. It was my first robot vacuum.

I’m surprised how well it vacuums. Navigation is pretty good and the app is easy to use. Overall I am happy with it.

The mopping, however, is painful because you have to add water manually to the vacuum and remove it afterwards. If mopping is important I would suggest look elsewhere.

    • No issues filling the water tank, if you leave the system to low water use you won't need to refill as often, not hard to remove the attachment after its done the clean as well.
