nbn FTTC Without an Active ISP

Did anyone know how long NBN can go without active subscription?

I will be out of the country for 3 weeks, and planning to disconnect my current nbn service, then churn/schedule reconnection closer to the day I'm back.

Each time I churn, the new provider always advice not to disconnect the old provider. This make me wonder if I will have reconnection issue if I leave my NBN without an active subscription for few weeks.

It doesn't matter. There is no time limit.

Check if your home is eligible for nbn FTTC to FTTP.

    • I'm not eligible as I live in a townhouse

They advise you not to disconnect so you dont have a gap between connections.

I think it's 2 weeks and 6 days before they shut it off permanently :/

for future reference - if planning to out of country again at a later date …

Launtel would be a good ISP to switch to … as you can pause your internet on a daily basis (and not be charged for those days).

      This is good.
      Thanks for the tips.

  • It's 3 weeks, you might save $45, just leave it connected.
