Weber Family Q Replacement Burner

Hey
After a new replacement Burner for our Weber Family Q300

Was wondering if it’s best to buy from Weber themselves or are the ones on eBay for $25 just as good and if so can someone link me to one to get please

Also on a side note, looking for some Stainless Steel cooking plates / Grills as my original cast ones need replacing too. Is going SS ones better?

How old is it? I rang webber and they posted out a replacement for free. Webber was only 3 or so years old.

Was pretty simple to do. Personally for a thing like a Webber I’d buy from them. I also firmly think anything with gas or electricity it is worth buying genuine parts.

Might even score one free, if you talk nicely !

We've found Weber to be very helpful with parts - and I agree with Randxyz123 - I think in a case like this, genuine parts are a must.

  • I have already purchased a replacement one from Weber and it last 2 years and now needs replacing again so thought maybe somewhere else

    • I'd be contacting Weber themselves as it might have been faulty… or there might be another reason your burners are failing.

        Yer stupid fingers

        Burner

Our Weber is undercover. The burner that came with the Weber lasted ages like 10 years the. We purchased a new one from Weber as it needed replacing and it’s lasted 2 years this time round.

        Kinda disappointing

        • In this case I'd speak to Webber support. You might have to send photos of the failed part but to me this would be a warranty replacement on the failed part. Parts fail these things happen. The manufacturer should be the first call.

Again, I would NOT use non genuine parts for something like gas just like I'd pay extra to buy a phone charger from a proper shop or well known seller/brand online. It is a safety risk and it isn't worth it.

Edit: Just to add, you could see if there are any trusted 3rd party parts. I just wouldn't buy from a random seller off eBay.

You have got to have an issue somewhere. I've had mine over 3 years, it gets used quite often. My care level consists of pressure washing it when it catches fire from too much buildup, and it lives half in the sun/rain, and it's still going strong.

      • What could be a issue without it being faulty?

        • I'm assuming they've sent you a substandard one when you replaced it. If you contact them I'm sure th give you a new one.

          • @brendanm: Yer I’m hoping so. I purchased this replacement one so I’m hoping they replace it then for free

            Thanks for the advice

  • Did anyone find out wether SS was better than the cast iron plates/ grills

    • Not yet

    • I have been using a full coverage SSone for years, excellent.
Webber just sent me a lighter ignition switch for free, would be way over 10 years old, said they warrant them for life.

      • Thanks, whered u buy the current SS one btw?

        • Keen to know too

        • Was off eBay

  • I have used these guys a few times. Good equipment

  • I tried both original Weber replacements and the 30 bucks ebay option. I found the ebay one is actually slightly better in distribution of the jets and gives more even temperature on the grill. I don't quite get the attraction of Weber ones, they don't last too long and prone to burning though. Also it's just a tube with holes nothing too special BTW

  • Weber have ways good.woth is … Even with older things that we expected to pay for. I wouldn't go cheap stuff with something like that.

Not the same thing, but hubby bought an extra for our PHILLIPS XL airfryer. We have the original pan. The TEMU item looks exactly the same. He says net they're made in the same place.

I cook in the TEMU pan the same way as i have done many times in the original one. In the original it just slides out without sticking. The TEMU one, it sticks and will not come out.

So there is obviously a big difference.
