I mean for work maybe, but for gaming, 9070XTs seem to be around $100 cheaper and only about 4-5% slower. Right now there's some at $1099, so, probably doesn't make sense for gaming to spend $200.

Yeah for Cuda I mean ok,

      DLSS 4 support > FSR 4 support

      • +2

At 1080p it is, at 1440p it's basically a wash and at 4K there's no difference.
        Waste of money imo.

      • +1

In what games? Because fsr 4 support number over 300's now. Dlss image little better though, but not $200 better.

        • +3

75 native FSR 4 titles as of July 2025.
Also no official FSR 4 override I'm aware of.

          • @reactor-au: I tried official fsr 4 and optiscaler fsr 4. It looks exactly the same if not even better.

Dont believe me? Check this video.
            https://youtu.be/cnc4WYFkXPQ?si=2_t1PBEjV7uNJnVD

and those are not even a 1/3 of all the games that can have fsr 4 enabled. Not everything has to be official.

@Bang1: Sometimes you just want things to work, not have to fiddle all day before you can play

              • @reactor-au: If simple copy and paste and enter a few numbers is too complex than you're best to just get nvidia 😉

I mean its not like nvidia users dont have to use dlss overrides for some games to enable dlss 4.

                • +1

@Bang1: Can set global DLSS 4 override in Nvidia app now.

I hope AMD catches up for the sake of competition but it's not quite as equal as you make it out to be just yet

                  • @reactor-au: For a very small list of supported games, some games still need manual dlss swap or NVIDIA profile inspector edits

                    • -2

@zachhambo: "Now, NVIDIA app users can simply go to Graphics > Global Settings and configure DLSS overrides to their liking. These will be applied to all compatible games, and those detected in the future, too. For gamers with large libraries, this saves significant time, and ensures all compatible games and apps use your settings."

                      • +1

@reactor-au: Yes, but the compatible games list is a short whitelist of "officially supported games" and does not actually globally override all dlss instances to 4.

                  • @reactor-au:

I hope AMD catches up for the sake of competition but it's not quite as equal as you make it out to be just yet.

I do know dlss 4 is better in terms of list of game support and image quality. Im not challenging that, but what I dislike is downplaying amd gpu like its hell of a difference in gaming experience.

Dlss 4 vs fsr 4. Image quality little better, it does have a little better list of games (accounting for that optiscaler cant enable vulkan and anti cheat games) but its nowhere near as bad as some nvidia gamers make it out to be. $200 saved is $200 saved when its not a big differentiator in gaming.

          • @reactor-au: Also don't forget that all games with FSR 3.1 are effectively FSR 4- When you enable FSR 4 in Adrenalin, the game’s built-in FSR 3.1 upscaler is bypass and instead FSR 4 is applied.

      Better for linux too.

    • I mean

    • No models id want at 1099 is the problem.

id want a slightly different model and thatll put me atleast at 1149 for the sapphire pure or in the 1229-1299 for the mercury, nitro+. Once nearing 1200 or going over for like the mercury this triple slot 5070 ti sounds like the better buy imo, just for dlss ease of use and productivity.

then at 1289, I might as well spend more on a 5080 when one of those ATL deal pops up. I was going to buy one but didnt realize it was a temp sale and i missed out. Sure P2P isnt the play with the 5080 but its the better card overall. Def wouldnt pay 1700+ though.

Hopefully another 1650ish or less deal pops up.

    HODLing for ~1K

Just don't bother trying at the Adelaide store.
The manager there probably won't honour it..
I went online and asked for a price match, then drove an hour to go get some stuff and she refused…
Oh well… went the 1km down the road to umart instead…

    • Hold on. Did they give you a price match online and then told you to go pick it up? Did you pay for it before you went?

      • No, was paying cash

    • +2

What? You went to Centrecom to price match a Centrecom product that has the option to pickup from any Centrecom?

      • +1

        No silly…
I asked them to price match umart

        • Why didnt you post a deal if umart is cheaper.

      • Yo dawg

  • +3

    I do need cuddle support

  • Price dropped by a further $10.

    • $1279 on a competitors site with a code ATM too

      • Perhaps a link would be more helpful :)

        • Mwave,

The code is plastered all over their landing page.

  • So close to pulling the trigger on this… Maybe wait a little more

    • it looks good compared to the other ti models but its still meh. a 1099 9070 XT is the better buy imo. If this was 1150 ish.. then okay. 5080s need to be around 1550 too.

      • Definitely meh….but I bought it at $1288 all up. Mwave. There is also a slightly cheaper Palit Gamingpro slim model if someone wanted that.

I just can't see waiting a few months for the price to drop MAYBE $100-200 would be worthwhile. My list of intensive games on the backlog is getting too big.

        • +1

I think im just going to buy a 9070xt. Maybe a mid model too, close enough to where i should buy the 5070 ti but f nvidia this go around. I havent had a amd since the 580, followed with gens of RTX. BUT Nvidias pricing and overall behavior is actually turning me off with them.

Really dont want to upgrade but i play at 4k and my 12gb 4070 Super is limiting in some games. Rather get ahead of the fact i have 12gb and sell it while i can still get 7-8 for it before a 18gb 5070 Super comes out. originally was going to ride out til next gen.. but I know supers are real now.

9070xt will still be an upgrade in raster/vram, RT not a huge leap but similar, better and meh vs the 4070S in a couple of titles… its def not the 50 ish minimum % upgrade id usually make…..id get that from a 5080. but no way im paying 1700-2000+.. enjoy your TI..
