This has been posted a couple times in the past. I've used it in the last free deal and was quite easy to use. Provides everything for a basic will with limited options for customisation, so may not be suitable for everyone.

Has anyone tried https://wills.gatheredhere.com.au/? Which also claim to be free and linked with multiple charities who suggest that you could leave a gift to the charity in your will?

Nietzsche fans down voting the premise of this offer.

A Nietzsche niche, if you will.

They try to upsell really hard in the form. If something is free..

    • If something is free…

Agreed, but likely you're not the one claiming it anyway…

Do they digitally sign off or you have to go somewhere to sign?

    • From memory it was all digital, the you print it and get your own witnesses to sign it physically.

    • They do have a laywer 'sign' it though, in so much as its vetted and verified to be correct.

Can someone shed light on the process in laymen language? You fill it and sign it and give it to them? Do you have yearly fees or anything? How do they mKe money?

  • PLEASE !!! USE A LAWYER!!! You make one spelling mistake - void. Married/divorced, had another kid, lost a kid - void. And you can't come back after you're dead and say "that's not what I meant/wanted".

      Hah what!

A Will does not automatically become void because of a spelling error. Courts look at the intention of the Will and minor errors (like misspelling a name or a word) usually don’t matter if the meaning is still clear.

Space between PLEASE and !!! … VOID !!!

  • Before they paid you $20 to do this

I was paid nothing? Just received an email after I used them on the last free deal and figured others might get some benifits.

  • A friend wanted to make a will but to omit their children from getting anything, (they have valid reasons) what wording would you use in the will, is this free will app capable of making such a will? cheers

    • Was a while since I created one in the last deal, but i believe you just specify who you want the estate to go to in the relevant section.
I don't recall if there was a place to specify conditions, but i didn't need to so it might be there and I just didn't use it.

    • Is your friend Gina Rinehart

  • I viewed this deal but could have done otherwise

  • You need to be very basic and straight forward with your assets/beneficiaries/executor as any slight change will steer you off to a payment of some sort whether it be a monthly subscription for unlimited will changes, life insurance or an agreement of 2% for a safewill appointed executor.

  • After going through most of the steps I realised that my super and life insurance (through super) are not a part of my estate. WTF? Then it's not really worth it. I don't have any other significant assets.

  • Looks like it's extended to midnight tonight 🙂
