  • got the email 30mins ago, was planning to wait until it lapsed later in the month but can now get it out the way

I went to check if mine was set to 'auto-renew' and it was, so I hit 'cancel' (even though mine doesn't run out until December). It immediately came up with a "Would you like to renew for $20 instead?" popup, which I clicked yes on. Now it says 'your plan will renew in December for $20' basically, on my account info.

Thanks for the heads up OP!

Honestly, OnePass has been so bloody handy. I love that I can get free delivery on even the smallest orders from Kmart and Officeworks.

And the 365-day return policy is a great peace of mind benefit.

    Cheers OP.

    Another data point:

If you're ineligible for the email, just try cancelling your current membership. I got the same $20 retention offer on the spot.

    • I only got offered 1 month free, maybe because I'm only paying month-to-month. Claimed it anyway. Will try again next month.

      Sadly I didn't
      Cancelled
      No offer
Only email I got was a sorry to see you go

      • No offer here.
        Cancelled, went through straight away.
Got given a 3 page survey, instead of an offer to renew at less than $40/year.

    • Just did it. Renewal was 23rd Sept and I got the same $20 retention offer.

  • If you didn't get the email because you had automatic renewal switched on, if you try and cancel the automatic renewal, you will get the same offer

I just cancelled my automatic renewal and it happily waved me goodbye, no offer. So YMMV

      • Damn really. They sent it to me. Was it a yearly one?

        • Aye was yearly…

      • +1

same, just cancelled got sweet fk all!

        • Not sure… I cancelled and got the offer. I had 130 days left.

      • +1

        Me too
        Canned
        No offer

Only email was a sorry to see you go

        • got an email from target last night about the $20 deal, check your emails!

      • Did it just cancel from the end of your subscription, or did it cease immediately? I'm wondering if they hound you closer to your actual end date…

    • +1

Same here, just cancelled and offered nothing.

How do you cancel automatic renewal?

Couldn't find the option anywhere on the account, all I have is either cancel membership or close account.

    • I went to start your plan and it gave me the option to renew 20$/year @Bargainz91

    • +8

When you cancel membership it cancels auto renew. as your membership stays active till the date you have paid for.

      • Thanks 👍🏽

Thanks @gromit I went to cancel (which appear like it would cancel straight away - until the very end), but I was presented with a popup offer to halve the next membership cycle cost to $20. So I didn't even need to cancel auto-renew
FYI: the offer directed me to https://my.onepass.com.au/membership/apply-cancellation-offe… (which might have to be triggered from the Cancel flow). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

        • Nice try thanks

Have me the message "couldn't apply offer"

    • +1

Cancel membership is essentially cancelling auto renew as you will still keep your membership up until the end date of your subscription when you “cancel”

  • I’m in the same boat as above comment, how do I cancel auto renew?

  • Thanks, would have missed the email if not for this. Not sure even at $20 if I get value out of it, but happy to take a gamble on it for another year at that price ($40 was a definite no go).

  • I just went to cancel my membership (renews in 75 days). Was given an offer for $20 for next year's membership. No email needed.

    • +5

I cancelled mine, says renewal is $40/year.

  • Could not find switch off button for auto renew, phoned them, he sent me a code to renew at $20. - easy as.

  • +2

They just let me cancel. No offer. So I did.

    • Same for me :(

  • Thanks OP🙏. Got the $20 renewal offer upon cancellation. Happy as I use it often! Currently fixing up my home DIY, no more trips to Bunnings hooray.

  • Thanks op
I cancelled my membership two months ago, but when I logged in today after seeing this post, it was showing up for me as well.

For anybody not getting the renewal $20 offer (like me) the option to buy another year for 4000 Flybuys (which is $20) in the store worked for me. You get emailed a code you can apply to $0 your upcoming renewal fee.

Redeem 4,000 Flybuys Points for 1-Year OnePass Membership @ Flybuys

  • Thanks OP🙏. Got the $20 renewal offer during cancellation. Was due to renew in 62 days.

  • MeToo

Had three days left just now.

    Clicked to cancel Auto Renew.

Instantly got offered $20 instead of $40 for next year.

We hate goodbyes. Here’s a reason to stay:

Get $20 off your next year.
You'll get this promotional discount when your membership renews on 4 Sept 2025. $40 per year thereafter.

  • worked for me thanks guys this is very handy to have.

  • Thanks,

  • I already had the auto renewal at 20/year when I went to cancel.

So if you're cancelling - check the current renewal amount before cancelling and see if you'd ready gotten 20/year from a previous offer.

  • Just get the one using flybuys 4000 redeem option.

  • I am not sure if this is worth it?

  • Yay thank you. 132 days to renewal. Went to cancel and received $20 offer

  • I cancelled my auto renew a week ago and haven’t got this email tried joining again and cancelling didn’t get discounted offer 🤷‍♀️

  • ahh just cancelled my membership now… I'll le tyou know if i get any emails.. thanks for the heads up!
its worth $20, but not $40.

  • Cancelled this morning (still had over 250 days left) and just got an email with a code for a $20 renew. So even if you don't get the code straight away, seems like you may get it down the line,

  • Took two days after cancellation to receive $20 renewal email

  • Thank you. It's handy so I don't need to run around in Bunnings (and end up buying much more than planned). Although often the items are just left downstairs outside the apartment building, luckily I live with honest neighbours who don't bother with stray packages on the ground.

  • Thanks. Got the email the day after I cancelled.

  • I have no luck cancelling and getting the $20 renewal. I will see what I can get on black friday.

  • Finally had this show up today after cancelling about 2/3 weeks ago

  • My Onepass membership had lapsed.
8 Sept got an email with a unique link that gave me $20 a year to rejoin. Did that and immediately cancelled membership so it wouldn't renew in a year.
18 Sept got an email with a unique code starting with UNARP… and instructions to reactivate the membership and apply the code.
Now I have 2 years at $20 a year locked in. Just need to remember to cancel again in 366 days!

  • My Onepass expires on 2 Nov. I just went to cancel the sub/autorenewal and was presented with "We hate goodbyes, here's a reason to stay" screen with $20 offer.

  • I noticed Onepass was promoting a half-price membership this month, and I was going to cancel and sign up under my wife's name, then saw this post, which worked for me. Thanks.

  • Cancelled.
    Received no retention offer :(

  • Attemped to cancel and was offered the renewal for $20. Thanks op
