Snyder fans rejoice! Anyone that knows or has visited the Weta workshop in NZ knows of the high quality of their work. Their figurines are no exception to this. This one of Henry Cavill in Justice League originally sold for $1374 AUD. It does say pre-order but once you do all the payments they will send it. Speaking to them last week they had over 10 boxes remaining. Yes the shipping fees are higher than the actual figure. No way around it considering it weighs 11kg, is 65cm tall and comes in a box the size of a small refrigerator.

The signature superhero of the DC Universe, Superman returns wearing the iconic black version of his costume in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

FEATURES

        I went to pay the remaining AU$102.56 instalment and got this message (I had ticked the box that said to use the Weta dollars):

        8 Wētā Dollars has been successfuly deducted from your account. A minimum of AUD90.27 has been charged to your card.

        I think the Superman statue itself gave me 5 Weta dollars and the other 3 Weta dollars must have been from my previous purchase (Galadriel 1:6 scale statue that was on sale last year).

          I'd wanted this for long time, but didn't want to pay over $1000. Was doing a random google search for it and it came up as a result. Was thinking is this an employee link that they had let public, would they even honor it. But they are legit company, would always get a refund. Turned out to be real.

    Now the main question is where can we find that big size Acrylic display box?
    (W x H x L) 47 cm x 64.7 cm x 38 cm
    That means we need 50 x 65 x 40 box. 65cm height!
    I checked on Aliexpress as I just purchased some for my 1/18 car models, and could only found height up to 45cm.
    And then the cost would be extreme as well. A box of 45x45x45 costs north of $200… More than the figurine!

    I saw some comments saying that the head sculpt’s paintwork was really poor. But it seems this was fixed in later batches. Could OP please confirm whether the head sculpt’s quality is great?

    When you click on Ops link it shows available to pre order but then if you select Justice League from the product list it shows Out of Stock so might get lots of cancellation emails soon.

    For this price, it's ok. A lot of collectors cancelled their preorder at the time it was released two years ago due to the poor paint on the headsculpts. I would say watch those youtube videos and decide for yourself.

    For $350 its pretty decent price for this scale, if you are not obsessed with Henry its acceptable, for like to like facial features, you are looking at $1000+ price tag cos it takes an extreme artist to copy the contour

    Mine just got shipped earlier today. I paid in full, including manually paying off the instalments.

    Perhaps I was one of the early orders in the queue so it got fulfilled.

    Judging by all the clicks on this post (even though clicks don't necessarily mean purchases), I imagine it probably sold out and they had to refund some of the orders.

      Just picked it up from the post office earlier today - it was delivered on the one day this week that I was working in the office and not at home!

      Photos don't do it justice - the dark colours just don't show up well on my crappy phone camera. The thing is 65cm tall and ~38cm diameter base - just crazy!

      The head sculpts are not the greatest so I understand why it was heavily discounted. The head sculpt that doesn't light up looks better to me. No battery came in the package (for the head sculpt that lights up), presumably because it's a hazard?

      Very easy to assemble and Superman is suspended from the base via his cape. There is a gap between the cape and the base (although the dark colours hide it well), which is probably another reason it was heavily discounted.

      The Weta Workshop posting did mention both these issues with the head sculpts, and the gap between the cape and base, so my expectations were tempered.

      All in all for the price, it looks pretty darn epic!

      Thanks - I was considering Darkseid too this afternoon (after learning my Superman order actually shipped and it wasn't some pricing error or crew only or something else making it too good to be true…), but ended up deciding against it due to that massive throne, and not super keen on the pose either… So it's good to know I would've wasted my time ordering it today anyway haha…
