    Amart is cheap, just like IKEA, it wont last long for bargains.

      Ikea is great, just have to pick the good stuff. Some are crap.

      IKEA quality depends on the range and price.
      Amart quality and after sales is questionable. In 2017, I bought the 2nd most expensive dinning table and chairs with 10yrs warranty. After 3-4 yrs one of the chairs legs cracked while normally sitting on it. It took weeks of follow up for them to offer a $32.5 refund (half a chair value according to their calculations) then $65. They refused to send someone to attempt repair.

      After several months they offered to send someone repair the chair. I kept pushing and they ended up offering to provide the value as credit for new purchase. In total after 20+ emails and 10+ calls they ended refunding the dinning table and chairs. I had to go in person to Penrith (80km roundtrip ) to get my refund in person as that was the branch that sent the stock out.

      After this I am never buying anything from amart.
      P.S: after covid they renamed and changed the colour of several of their sets and doubled up the prices.

    Bought a recliner from there a couple weeks ago. Nice comfy chair, pretty happy with what I received for the price - but assembly instructions are pretty trash. Screws provided for the feet were too deep for the wooden beam I was drilling it into, now they're poking out the top of the beams - waiting to punish me for my cheapskate ways if I ever crash through the chair. Only time will tell if it holds up, but it does feel pretty solid for now.

    Ill be the odd one out and say I havn't really had any issues with stuff from Amart, maybe comes down to what you buy? recently bought a reclining lounge set and so far so good

    I bought a couple of recliners from them about 5 years ago and one came with a bent frame. They did replace it pretty quick with another one without any fuss so maybe I got lucky.

    But yeah, the quality isn't really there, had to fix a few things on them like springs not attached/coming off and the recliner cable snapped on one after not much use. The mark up must be astronomical as they seem very cheaply made!

      In addition to my bad experience above you reminded me of the issues I had with my purchases delivery.
      Tv unit cracked out of the box.
      2x chairs damaged out of the box.
      Misaligned display unit that didn’t close properly due to bad manufacturing and a mail sticking out of the front.
      Plus one more issue that I don’t recall. They ended sending their affiliated carpenter twice to swap and fix bits and pieces.
