Great car wash shampoo and conditioner, been using for years.
Rarely goes this cheap on Amazon.
Makes my car very silky smooth and shiny, almost blinds everyone on the road

Yeh I was just going to ask if this is good or the ultimate is good? Or two different use case?
Kind of a case of would you want to buy a 2 in 1 washing machine and drier? Sure it can do both, but it's not as good.
If you have the time and want to do it right then better to get seperate products. If you're short on time and just want short term protection then a combined products works, but it's never quite as good.
Thank you! :)
But unsuitable if you want to wax separately.
Yeah
Smells good enough to eat as well
Lasts the better part of 2 months
Not a bad deal for this price
If I use TurtleWax Hybrid Ceramic after is this a good wash? Or is there something better?
i use this too… its great - hose off when it rains - but like any wax/polishes attracts alot of dust from static
Yes this what you want as it is a neutral wash.
Got you thanks, given I usually only wash and wax every 6 months I assume that doesn't change anything?
Nothing. This doesn't react to your polish nor add anything to interfere.
Does TurtleWax Hybrid Ceramic work well?
Yes recommend it
Appear to be price matching Repco who have it on clearance.
Yeah lads buy from Repco instead if you don't have prime!
That's me, with no Prime.
I didn't want to buy 3 x bottles, to qualify for the free Amazon shipping.
Thanks for that, good to have a non bezos option.
Grabbed 2. Haven’t seen it this low for a long time. Nearly grabbed some at $30 off ebay the other day thinking that was a good price!!
This stuff is also great for snow foam cannons. Had my bottle last for years.
Quick question - is a foam cannon just meant to give you a better rinse? But then you do a usual glove wash after? Always wondered what the purpose is
The idea is for the foam to sit on the car and break down the dirt then high pressure rince it all off.
Great thanks and I assume still a glove wash after for agitation to remove dirt?
@JSONBourne: Yes. Personally I do the pre wash foam then foam again so the car has a layer of soap and I use the glove and buckets with soapy water to hand wash it down.
Having a layer of foam spray sitting on the car as I wipe it helps show me where I need to clean and also added soapiness to reduce swirl marks.
@Windows98: What do you use for the soapy water ? I am thinking to pre wash foam with this Gold Class then use the glove and buckets with Ultimate Wash & Wax.
@enricos85: I use the same gold class for both foam and soapy water. But wash and wax would also be good.
@JSONBourne: If you wash frequently, then you can do touchless. But still need a 2 bucket job every once in a while, or if you wash infrequently.
Do you apply at the same rate as say Bowden's Snow Job?
Tbh I'm not sure. I do it by eye now and I had to test a few times to get the right mixture for my washer. I think it depends on the flow rate and pressure of you're washer as to how much you'll need. But in general I used very little, like a finger depth of my foam lance bottle. Which is why it lasted me so long.
I was able to get very thick, shaving cream style foam with this.
Only the best for my AU Fairmont Ghia
Damn ran out and got some for around $28. Bought another so I don't feel bad about it.
Dollar cost averaging.
$24 average now.
But another 2 to get the average down to $22.
Limiting sums for the ultimate diminishing returns. False economy savings Ozbargain style!
Many thanks OP bought 2, I washed the car last weekend and used the last of mine. High Pressure Rinse, snowgun wash with this, High pressure Rinse, Wash with TurtleWax Hybrid Ceramic. Rinse and then clean microfibre cloth dry (the big yellow costco ones are great!)
People constantly ask me what I do to keep my 2003 Merc E500 looking like new. On my last bottle of the hybrid Ceramic, hopefully it comes on sale again soon.
2003 is quiet a while back, how many Ks have you raked up on it. TurtleWax Hybrid Ceramic Rinse: means wash and rinse considering it a soapy solution or something else?
I am just shy of 100k on the mighty V8 - so I expect many more years of joy out of my Sunday Car.
I used to use the same routine with the Gold Class wash followed by the ulimate wash and wax
https://www.meguiars.com.au/product/ultimate-wash-n-wax-1-42…
Also fantastic, but I switched out to the https://www.turtlewax.com.au/products/hybrid-solutions-ceram… for the final wash.
Just leaves the car silkly smooth for longer, after a month or two you can still see the water just beading off the car when it rains, like some magic invisable armour.
You wash with the wash and wax then use ceramic?
TurtleWax Hybrid Ceramic wash and wax?
Thats the one, love it, and edges out Mequiars Ultimate wash and wax IMHO for shine and Hydrophobic longeivity
Will have to try it when my Meguiar's Ultimate Wash n Wax runes out.
Kirkland yellow costco are fine for drying car after wash ? I heard not to use on paint as may scratch or put marks on paint . Better to use drying towel like bowden green sucker etc?
https://www.costco.com.au/Tyres-Automotive/Car-Maintenance/K…
These are the ones I use, generally use two or three to dry the car, then I machine wash them. Dont have a big green sucker, but both are microfibre, imho paint swirl normally occurs when people wash with dirty clothss/sponges. I am expect the BGS is good as well.
I am planning to buy stuff to wash car at hime but not experienced in this. I recently got pressure washer. So I wash first with pressure washer , then foam gun with this gold cladd shampoo, and then wash again with pressure washer and dry with this costco microfiber right ? And do you use any special detergent for washing microfiber in machine or just normal laundry washing detergent
@itsok: Yeah rinse with pressure washer first, dislodges 90 percent of the dirt and grime - zero touch.
Foam gun with the Gold Class Wash next. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to soak and penetrate.
Pressure wash rinse again This blows off all your suds and should leave your car lovely in clean. The gold class has no waxes so now you are primed for the penultimate step
Wash again with your poisen of choice, I use the Turtle Wax Hyrbrid Ceramic wash and wax. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes to adhere to the paint.
Give it a quick rinse and then dry with your clean micro fibre cloth of choice. Will look like a million bucks when finished and have a fantastic protective coat that should be good for 2+ months
@hardjards: Is this one good ? Turtle wax spray coating to be used after wash https://www.amazon.com.au/Turtle-Wax-53409-Solutions-Coating…
@itsok: I have used it before, excellent product, and has really impressive Amazon reviews that speak for itself. I find that I wash my car more regulary (every 1-2 months - some bird shits on it, or you drive througth some mud etc) the product you linked is great for longer term finish 3 + months. In my experiance once you start using the ceramics, you will find that you car becomes much easier to clean due to the protective coat stopping gunk adhering to the paint work.
@hardjards: I will try this one. And another question how do you wash microfiber in machine any special detergent to use for that?
repco has the ceramic maguires one on clearance for $20 ..don’t know if it’s the same quality but thought i would let you know
thanks for sharing, ATL
Its gone, not allowing me to put in cart
Back in stock
Just bought one from Amazon. Not showin OOS for me?
Thanks OP. Have almost run out of my last bottle. great stuff.
working again now, after I bought them at repco lol
do you guys use a foam gun for this?
Yes, but you don't have to, since I would recommend 2 bucket wash even with this product. It costs around $1 per snowfoam job at this price, plus the soap for handwash
What's a good foam gun would you say?
For you? None. Given your other comment about 2 washes a year, a foam gun/pressure washer is just a waste of money if you're only going to use it twice a year. People overhype what a foam gun does when the two bucket wash has been a tried and true method for decades. Don't get caught in the craze, unless you like the idea of a foam cannon, then go nuts.
https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/meguiars-meguiars-mega-s…
This is my current one, does a great job, obviously you need a pressure washer to make the magic happen.
Yeah snow cannon with this produces an amazing thick coat that lifts road grime like nothing else.
Can a gardening spray gun work? The manual one.
dumb question, but does council allow car shampoo washing outside garage due to detergent runoff?
If you worry about it, ask your council ?
No they don't allow it
But they do allow it
it’s not a council thing, it’s an EPA thing, yes it’s OK as the detergents are biodegradable, during droughts people empty the bucket on lawns, and it’s a wetting agent.
Forbidden apple juice.
Thanks OP
Sad can't really bucket wash for apartment people
if you have parking out front or back of apartment should be be ok, will have tap for garden maintenance and building maintenance, just need to make sure not busy road and get hit by car driving past.kts it’s one of those high rise apartments you have underground car parking so birds aren’t pooping on your car or collecting dirt after rain.
This is my go to. Awesome wash plus it smells nice. I find you can smell it when walking past the cat several days after wash.
You washing your cat with it too? Hmm brave
I don't think this stuff is that amazing to be honest. On par with the cheaper stuff for hand washing. As for using it as a foam cannon havent tried so can't comment.
car care products, coffee making accessories, wine accessories, there are some industries that sell an experience rather than sound engineering or chemistry based requirements. important is that you enjoy using it and it gets you outdoors when washing the car.
Honestly, NV snow is so much better out of a foam cannon, or even bowdens snow job. Fine for the casual car washer I guess.
Do you need to wax the car after this?
if the water beads off no as there is still some wax on the car, if water doesn’t bead off it’s time for wax. surprised car care products haven’t gotten into SPF, how much UV protection their wax offers, but that could land then in court as SPF can be measured vs generic statements like offers UV protection. Important is that you enjoy the experience of buying the product and washing your car and the car products make it part of the experience, otherwise cole’s and woolies have armoural washes and waxes if you just want to wash the car. Understand this isn’t a wash n wax, it’s a wash, seems amazon price has gone up which leaves repco if you like to shop
instore
Looks like the deal is no longer
A question for the car washing enthusiasts. How do you clean the insides of your cars windows? Whenever I try to clean them, I end up making them worse. Streaky and smeary.
Dish soap.
After that you can follow up with an anomia free glass cleaner (tinted windows) or omit it entirely and get a better results with morning fresh.
I have a little arm extender thing that's Velcro on one side and microfibre on the other that I use for the windshield that I got form aldi.
Your car accumulates grease and oils.
Try dish soap on your house windows as well.
Comparison with the 5$ Armor all car wash?
Back in stock with $25 price
Meguiar’s ultimate wash & wax is where it’s at.
