  • Wouldve jumped on this had it been quad band

  • I got this recently for 350 stacking the 21% Ebay codes and sb cashback promo. At first I was looking at the higher models, but realised the higher models have features I don't really need. Remember this device supports MIMO across all bands, and my experience in two weeks has been great. 2.5G lan is more than sufficient for my home needs, it supports link aggregation to 5G Lan too.

I'm glad I saved the coin and used that saving on my NAS. To note I do have a big area to cover which I'm using a re655be extender in wired backhaul mesh mode to give full house coverage.

    • That router and one extender will set you by 700 bucks.

Are you not better off with something like the eero system with Wi-Fi 7? or like a netgear wifi7 mesh for equivalent amount?

      Genuine question.

I got the extender for 275. So just over 600. And sold my older gear, making the cost 400. Compared to a be15000 I originally was considering plus extender, I saved quite a bit of my budget to cover my costs of a NAS.

I was considering the be65 pro mesh system. But the lack of LAN ports was a factor. Costs of the be65 were similar, but with much less networking features than the BE routers vs mesh systems after reading many reviews. So keep that in mind.

  • I'm in the market to replace my old Netcomm nf18acv as it has started to play up.
I have two a 2x Deco M5 mesh setup, meaning wifi is obviously disabled at the router.

Any suggestions on a good replacement? Ideally I would like to get a router that offers is own mesh so I can connect it to my existing mesh network and expand it by one access point. I'm connected to HFC and my speeds will soon be upgraded to 500/50.

    • Plug-in one TP-Link Deco BE router to the nbn NTD box. TP-Link Deco BE can be added to your existing Deco M5 setup.

      • Will look it up. Cheers

  • I am holding my purchase till black Friday sales, hoping to get for around $300. Currently out of my budget.
