Pretty good deal
Step 1: Click on Included when adding to cart as in the screenshot to remove the extra “premium warranty” to get the price in the post above

Plenty of different options within a $100-$200 price range but this is the cheapest, ie AMD instead of Intel / 255HX / extra battery etc

  • 12GB of ram is very unusual for a gaming laptop.

    • I dont see any 12gb ram graphic card?

      • +1

Title used to have "12GB" in it. Unclear if OP meant was regular RAM or VRAM but itr's wrong in either at 16GB and 8GB respectively

        • -1

Yes. Either of these are wrong

          • @Zeee: They were possibly wrong on the VRAM- RTX 5070 mobile has 8GB VRAM, it's the Ti variant that has 12GB.

  • I don't have an Education email, is this the same laptop from their main page?

    Its OLED Screen specs: 15.1" WQXGA (2560 x 1600), OLED, Glare, Non-Touch, HDR 600 True Black, 100%DCI-P3, 500 nits, 165Hz

Laptop's part no. from EDU site: 83LYCTO1WW

which I believe is this from the Main site with part no. 83LYCTO1WWAU5

with GPU upgraded from 5060 to 5070 and somehow the default 1-Year Premium Warranty removed. (I couldn't remove it when I tried.)

    The frustration buy 😂

    Any options with more RAM?

I paid a few hundred more for the AMD version with 32GB ram and 1TB HDD, 2 years premium warranty and LED keyboard, plus it came with a free monitor and laptop bag.

I think they might do these sales regularly.

  • Comparing with https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/922866,
    which one is better?

  • Does it have two SSD port?could I add the other one SSD drive?

  • How do you get the $1 monitor? Everything I add just adds the full price

    • Oh I see, hidden little box down the bottom before selecting "Build PC"
