Reminder for those who already purchased at the recent $2299 price, Costco will refund you the price difference if it goes cheaper within 30 days of purchase.

  • Like I like it, but still can’t justify the price to upgrade for the extra 2% better level of cleaning it does over my existing model.

    • what robovac are you currently using?

      • +1

S8 pro ultra - but yes, this has better specs for a fair few things - extendable side mop, extendible side arm, better LiDAR and suction.

This is still a great deal. If it were my first or I needed an upgrade I would consider.
(And if I’m dropping $2K or more on a robot mop/vac I’m expecting it to last minimum 2-5 years under normal daily use)

2-5 years? I’d expect this to last 7 years minimum.

Roborock are about to release a robot mop vacuum that has a roller mop instead, similar to their standup F25.

It is a far better technology for mopping as it can squeegee while it cleans, replacing with fresh water constantly.

Dyson recently announced a robot mop vacuum with the same tech, and this follows competitors who’ve has the tech for a year now.

It’s the way forward for mopping. So if you care about mopping, I’d suggest you then wait for the newer model.

    • Have some YouTube links for the new features?
I’ve noticed the Narwal but I am keen to see the new Dyson and roborock.

        Google IFA 2025

    • Interesting. I would've thought two circular pads give cleaner results.

    • This is what I am holding out for, the Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni is the number one on Vaccum wars site for mopping as its a roller as well

Id have grabbed this but the Roborock obstacle avoidence on the Saros beats this so hoping for a combination of Roborocks excellent avoidence system and a roller. The Ecovacs battery life is also pretty poor so Im waiting to see if this is because of the new roller system and how Roborock tackles this if it is

      • Did you get the X9 from overseas?

      • Ecovacs x11 OmniCyclone is being released in October. Looks like a winner

    • I have not been able to find anything at all linking any new tech to roborock.

Is this just an assumption on your part and that they will follow suit on competitors?

Is this the new one you're talking about?

  • Paid $2,499 at amazon for the 30 days return, but whatever you win some, lose some. It is amazing, super cleaning performance, it is genuinely clever, multi-level house no problem, shoes, cables, drying rack, all mastering without a problem.

  • Ours is pretty decent, but does get stuck sometimes - on a little ridge (caused by the rug bunching a bit from chair movement), on a circular Persian rug. Also will suck up ribbons etc and jam, despite the improved obstacle detection. Still, better than my S7 whose navigation was very poor.

  • Thanks OP after months of deliberation and waiting decided now is a good time to pull the trigger on this. Went tho roborock over the Mova V50 because of the perceived reliability.

  • Out of curiosity, is costco membership one of those that noone actually pays for (like Qantas Club membership), or is there no way around the $65 pa?

    • What are you asking? If there's a way to not pay the membership fee?

    • Pay for it. No way around it. You can get solid savings from fuel and certain grocery items.

If you decide at the end of the year it wasn’t worth it and you no longer want to continue, you can cancel and get a refund of the membership. But you can’t game that part. You’ll be banned from signing up again for a period of time.

Also worth considering the black card premium membership (forgot what it’s called). Gives you 2% back on any purchase. So if you make huge $$$ purchase (eg fridge or computer), the 2% cashback would easily cover your annual membership fee.

      • Oh, I"m not trying to game it. I'm not actually after this vacuum either as I have it already from Amazon. It's just that some memberships are well known for having multiple promotion partners or marketing policies that mean most people don't pay the fee, or it is typically discounted - Qantas Club membership being the most obvious example of the former, eBay Plus the latter. Was just wondering whether CostCo's annual was in either category. Seems like it isn't, which is fair enough.

waiting for it to hit around $1700 mark around Black Friday or Christmas sales.

I’m upgrading from a 8 years old robot so will be a big step up in everything.

  • What is the current price of this at costco ?
