Will They Start Policing Where Users Are Logged in from for Spotify?

Got this Spotify email recently and wonder what it means from October onwards. I’m on a cheap Spotify subscription from the Philippines signed up through another OzB user.

Spotify became self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern Time on August 29, 1997, they tried to pull the plug and in retaliation, they launched copyright strikes against the major music providers

    • Spotify begins to learn about drill rap and bass-boosted AI slop at a geometric rate

  • Spotify are well aware of where I am. They keep telling me about concerts in Brisbane. As long as they keep billing me in Turkish Lira and sending me e-mails in Turkish language. I'm happy. If they want to charge me $16, they're dreaming.

  • My wife still uses Spotify with India pricing beacuse its convenient and easy. I moved to Plexamp and very happy with it. She will probably come on it as well in future once Spotify becomes too expensive to keep with AU pricing.
