They're rats, they chew anything that's not hidden away unfortunately. They are quite good at not eating the plastic though - chew it, spit it out and leave bits everywhere. Their teeth are insulated too so electric shock is not a huge risk, but even so the only thing I ever charge while they are running around is my phone at 18W. Charging a laptop or power bank with them out of the cage seems a bit too risky.
Did you purchase these rats or did they just find their way into your house?
@EatSleepOzBargainRpt: I love rats but we can’t have nice things with them around! They’re not sewer rats they’re different to fancy rats. Unless op has sewer rats idk.
@iDeker: Yeah fancy rats. 3 females. Females are the most interesting but unfortunately get into a lot of trouble. The males are more cuddly but for the most part just want to eat and sleep.

Some people tame wild rats but not me haha.

I finally caught a usb c cable sale before it expired. Ordered 2 pairs because my wife, son and daughter keep pinching my cables. I've no idea where they end up. They must all have collections hidden somewhere.
