I think they price matching Big W. Other retailer like HN and TGG also dropping their price but only to $379.

I price matched it with TGG and use the $40 targetted voucher to bring this down to $309. If you are targetted for Amazon Voucher, might be able to use that here.

The appeal of this product for me, is the auto empty and it does not use bag, so it is easy to throw the rubish out. It has auto detect as well and increase the suction automatically when you use it on a carpet. 2 Years manufacturer warranty is a nice bonus.

  • Any good? Or should I be getting something else in this price range?

    • Not a vacuum expert, however, I have not seen any other similar vacuum with auto empty in this price range. It is good so far in my experience, other than being loud when it is emptying the canister. I like how it is being light and powerful in carpet. Battery also removeable, so when that dies, hopefully it will be easy to source a new one.

    • Have this, it's a great vacuum for the price. Having had a few cordless vacuums previously, the build quality is not as nice as a Dyson V8, but similar to the Xiaomi (or similar) vacuums that used to come up here quite often.

The auto-empty feature is great - rather than needing to empty it all the time, I now empty the station around once every few months - it's also great that you can just take the canister out and empty it outside so it doesn't throw all of that dust back into your house.

I personally don't like the auto-detect, I find it annoying and prefer to just run it on max. It's not particularly powerful, but perfectly fine for hard flooring or low-pile carpets.

Is it better to get the V8 when it’s on sale for at half price for $349 at Big W?

V8 should have better longetivity and choice of accessories, being Dyson product, however, V8 does not have auto empty which was my main requirement. 2 years + 1 year credit card warranty, should hopefully cover the Shark product.

any experience and thought around Dreame Z20 station ?? which is better Shark or Dreame Z20 station ??

    • +2

Dreame Z20 is $600 device? In terms of cost, straight off the bat Shark is better. Also from quick Google, Z20 has a weird long replaceable bag, which can add to the maintain cost.

      Yes, see the post description.
