I'll be saying '0118 999 881 999 119 725… 3' in my head for the rest of the week now.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to inform you of a fire that has broken out on the premises

So when I argue with my gf will this help put out fires?

No. This would act like oil on a fire.
fyi, I didn't neg you.
ahhh, its all good most likely some women couldn't take a joke :D

@Lois Price: the problem with people today is they can't take an offensive or cheeky joke it has to be unfunny and G rated.

OzBargain - come for the bargains, stay for the conversation

what size? I want plenty of juice but still light enough to swing

If you're not sure whether that hot orange glow is fire or not, throw one of these blankets on and it will distinguish it for you

I see what you did there! +1

Can I wear it on my shoulders and get the best table at fancy restaurants?

I would have expected silk instead of glass fiber, but you get what you pay for ;-)

Cheap chamois for drying the car

if your (electric perhaps?) car is on fire maybe

The glass fibres accentuate the dullness in all paints

does this work on overheating dutch ovens?

Nee.

Call 000 and save $6.90

000 says you should need one that can minimise the lose before they arrive? Especially for those who can't afford home insurance.

It doesn't look distinguished to me.

would something like this work on a lithium ion battery fire?

No. Fire blanket designed to suffocate the fire but lithium ion fires don't need oxygen to burn. The lithium ion fire will probably burn a hole through this one.
There are fire blankets out there rated for lithium ion fires but even these can't actually put the fire and instead used for containing the fire and smoke.

No gas no smoke no lighter not sure if I need more of these. Having 1 is enough. Alright, get another one for the car.

Thanks OP.

Waiting for $16 fire extinguisher feels like forever ugh
