  • 2 EQ modes specially tuned for gamer with rendering of gaming 3D soundscape and for listener with full-range audio

sounds stupid - I'd like to know what the difference actually is

    • I'd say FLAT vs Strong V shape EQ

      • +1

Being for teh g4merz, they won't risk a flat being too basic. The Flying V will be matched with a Mt. Bass black diamond ski slope into a Treble Cliff.

        • +1

Im sure the zoomers will be pleased that theres no mids

    • +1

Changes the sound from crap to total crap

  • All those glowing reviews from other countries are for the G2000s btw (and from what I've seen on Youtube reviews probably still overstating it)
Guess you get what you'd expect at this price.

    • Been using the G2000s for a few years. Bought them based on online reviews and haven't been disappointed - great for music and gaming. They replaced AE A5s that took up took much desk space and I could barely tell the difference between them.

      • They're about what I'd expect from a small tweeterless speaker. I have Edifier 1280 and 1380's which sound decent, but also looking for something smaller and with USB input (their M60's look alright, but little pricey)

Might give the 1000s a go for the kids desk though. would have paired nicely with TCB $5 bonus on $20 spend yesterday :)

For around $60 to $80 they're good. USB, aux and BT inputs. Only annoying part is the "bbbbarruugghggh" engine noise start-up sound when powering on.

  • Why does it need "GAMING" written on it?

    • To match the gaudy RGB lights

  • +1

20% off for 2 offer is gone now, only 5% one is left.

  • +2

I have these and they're pretty terrible sounding. Better than monitor speakers but worse than anything else I've used in decades.

    • Anything you can recommend around this price point?

      • +1

I'm leaning towards one of the $59 Creative sound bars for use with a laptop.
Don't know of anything at the $30 point.

        • Which one is that? The one on Amazon all seems to be closer to $100.

        • for the 30aud price point, the Creative Pebble 2.0 is likely his best bet. Its decent when expectations are kept in check with the price.
if they could top up and have the desk space, I'd recommend an Edifier R980T. That's proper speakers that budget audiophiles can accept.
I see theres a Used: Like New one on amazon for 39aud https://www.amazon.com.au/Edifier-R980T-Active-Bookshelf-Spe…
          I reckon that's a good deal
