Currently the best deal around if you use the usual sign up and then cancel. I think the cancellation fee is now approx $1000 but still good. I feel this has come out to counter the delivery of the new iphones into the stores.

Lets not go there as this has been discussed million times before :)
You don't have to pay the $1300 voucher back. The max cancellation fee is $1,000 (was $800 before) pro rata for 23 months as you pay first month $99 cost upfront.Oh no worries. I haven't really been following any discussion on it as I'm not looking for a new phone haha. Just had 10m on hand to look at the T&Cs. Cheers
Funnily enough, it'll cost just over $1300 too for the actual voucher fee
Voucher repayment is now $1000
in case someone needs: 287 + 99 + 1000/24 * 23 = 1344.33Or $1428.3 if you can get the 10% off gift cards from Coles or Woolworths and dont want to sign up the Telstra contract. .
So the total cost will be $287+$99+$958.33=$1,344.33.
I guess it comes out cheaper via Samsung EPP, Govt, Edu, Commbank Yellow and Westpac rewards for those who have access to these. Was the s25 cheaper on release day on the samsung edu etc? Or did the price on the s25 just dropped on the edu store
It was cheaper during release. $1,344.33 would've about gotten you the 1TB version.
Thanks, Oh the 1tb seems very nice
$1,396 on Edu site.
But I guess there is some offer going on for a trade in bonus on top of the trade in value of your device, plus 5% off on first purchase via App etc.
No trade in bonus now, only 5% purchase and 5% extra code only.
@ATTS: I asked for extra discount code, and they gave me 5% discount code. If you need it, here is a code: ERX-G7Z4-LSST-D8XZ
Would a S23 Ultra 1TB version for around $1000 be a better price?
No. S25U is definitely a much better phone.
s23 will only get 2 more major software updates, so it's a fair bit to spend. is the 1tb storage really important to you?
For the 7 years of guaranteed support on S24 onwards, I would avoid the S23 series altogether. Barely anyone keeps a phone for 7 years these days, but the piece of mind knowing you'll have software updates beyond the next two years is worth paying a few hundred dollars on top
i think will help will resell value too and easier to sell. guess i will hodl until under 1400 with trade in from samsung website
When did the voucher repayment get increased to $1000? Must be all the rorting from the previous deals hahaha
I have existing Optus plan and happy on it
would I be able to just do new phone number - then immediately cancel the phone number and service?
edit - would be second esim number or similar - and keep my existing esim as well
People actually pay $99 a month for a mobile plan? Wow.
287+99X24 =2663
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 256GB for $1587 in JB now with 10% GC = 1428
2663-1428 = 1235 for 24 months mobile plan ..
Get a better deal.. like Felix..
Can we apply trade in device with this deal?
My trade in phone is estimated $850 E-gift card. Samsung S25 Ultra 512GB $1787 - $1300 = $487.
Can I use this $850 E-gift card to pay $487? Could the balance in the gift card be used for other items?
so you end up paying 500~ more for the same phone with less capacity?
Is the 512gb on special anywhere?
Yes. They have the 512gb for $1787 so $200 extra. Wtill the same $1300 off with the plan.
