PS: Uber & Uber Eats eGift Cards are currently 10% off at Amazon AU

    • +3

Thanks. Although with the challenge, these Uber gift cards will be at 17.5% off in 4 days (at $200 spend)

      • Is the challenge tracks. Currently not tracking for Doordash deal

        • Yep agreed. From other comments though, challenges takes a while to track, sometimes 5-6hrs. So gotta hope for the best

  • +4

Uber eats is good. Please thumbs up the delivery drivers/riders if they do a good job

    • I never remember. Does it help them?

      • +5

Yes it does, keeps their % rating that you see under there faces.

If there is an issue then obviously thumbs down them, for example last time i ordered fried chicken and when i got it it tasted and smelled like the persons perfume. I could taste it in the food. They literally sprayed all around the bag. I was so put off by it, luckly got a refund.

Ps. Im a uber eats and DD delivery driver and would never spray stuff like that no matter how stinky the food is.

        • Yeah that is very strange.

I find UE will give refunds on almost any reason (although I am sure if it is abused they won't). But it is so annoying to buy food at inflated prices then not being able to eat it!

        • -2

I'll occasionally thumbs down drivers that pick up multiple orders after mine. I feel like some drivers do doordash and uber eats at the same time, i've seen multiple people exit the car to make a delivery before.

          • +2

@johnnytran: I think you have to pay for exclusive delivery or they are allowed to do multiple orders

            • @serpserpserp: We do not know if the order is an exclusive or not. The uber system is stupid.

Paying for the exclusive is not worth it

          • +4

@johnnytran: Thumbs down for the drivers picking up 2 or 3 more jobs is kinda bad, because from the view of uber and the driver they are just doing extra because no other delivery people are there and it helps others, and also they get more income for the same location delivery.

I sometimes feel sorry for the first pickup person too and always try deliver asap, usually first pickup is last delivery. Just the system setup like that by uber, not the drivers fault really. [IF the delivery driver refuses too many their AR rate will go down]

            Kinda a d move imo.

Mutiple people out of car is just usually friends or partners helping each other out

            • -2

@Turd: I live like 2-3 minute drive from the restaurants in my area and only order ubereats when i have a promo. The driver can see how close i live yet they accept other orders knowing they will delay mine. I often have to wait an extra 15 minutes after they've collected my order, that deserves a thumbs down, i know they are just trying to make more money but that affects the quality of our meal.

The app no longer shows their route but i do recall years ago watching the driver deliver food as they drove past my street to another house a suburb away. I guess it happens that often they've stopped showing the other routes in the app.

              • +3

@johnnytran: Yeah that's the unfortunately issue of living close to the resturants.

You will get mutiple orders from the store, Say you get accepted your order, it's $6, then when you walk to the store another one (person) orders as well, and it's $10, so to the delivery person they get $16 for the two pick up which is great. Also 99% of the time the delivery person does not or can not compute that quick for location, they arent given your exact address. It's more like next two or sort of close x streets, if the person accepts your $6 order, and declines the 2nd one, they are literally going to delay the other person and 1. make their rate lower 2. bad experience for the other person who ordered at the same time.

It's basically a system issue, where not enough drivers and heaps of orders at the location.

Uber give a lot of time for the delivery anyways, yeah it sucks but more things to thumbs down on.

Thumbs down for this particular issue imo (as a driver) is kinda rude, as we are just trying to make a living. And Uber do not give feedback to the drivers as to why or what went wrong. Thumbs down will stick with that person for a while. A thumbs down is very subjective from wrong items or wrong order all the way to because I just do not like the look or name of the person.

Maybe order a bit earlier or later…. dunno

Edit: It's not just UE that have this issue, DD also have the same issue of mutiple pickups, as does HungryPanda, what's wrose is HungryPanda allow mutiple 4 to 6 orders in one person!!! For UE it is max 3, though Ive had 4 (where it was alcohol so it didnt matter too much) and DD is like 2 or 3 max also.

                • @Turd: Totally understand, i only thumbs down in extreme circumstances. I can live with a delay due to multiple orders, it's only when it causes my food to get cold it becomes an issue. I have had food delayed but it was still hot when delivered - if people intend on accepting multiple orders they should have proper storage to keep the food hot at least.

                  • @johnnytran: You can always ask UE for a refund, generally they will do that if the food is cold.

Was it a car that delivered to you for your cold food?

                    • @Turd: Yes, always someone in a car. I don't think i've had a bike deliver me food yet

                      • @johnnytran: Drivers does not have a choice to deliver your food, just because of you are nearby - Uber driver app will choose who to deliver first - Also Not accepting orders might effect the driver ( Order acceptance rate might go down)

  • Can someone help? I couldn't see this challenge. I can only see a similar one for doordash

    • This is available on Tuesday Sept 12. Will show on the app then.

      • 12th September? That is today

        • +2

          Apologies, Tuesday, Sept 16.

  • I hope it will track properly. Just purchased 2 x $100 (boosted cashback) DoorDash gift cards and the challenge hasn’t tracked yet.

  • +4

There's another Uber / Uber Eats challenge currently the app. Might be worth joining this one as well on Tuesday: "This challlenge entitles you to be in the draw to win 1 of 3 $100 Uber / Uber Eats gift cards when you spend at least $100 on Uber / Uber Eats gift cards in one or across multiple transactions at Shopback Gift Cards between 6 september 2025 12:00am AEDT - 30 September 2025 11:59 AEST. One entry for every $100 spent."

    • +1

The challenge name and overview say spend at "Uber/Uber Eats" while the T&Cs say spend at "Uber/Uber Eats Gift Cards"

      Typical shopback!

  • Nothing in the app about this offer yet; similar DoorDash offer was previewed early and available 8am.

This one must come later today?

    • Same, nothing in my app as well

  • I see the bonus $15 on $200 challenge, but the cashback rate on the GCs now appears as 2%

    • +3

Have you selected the $100 gift cards? There are two, one with 8% and one with 10%.

      • Thanks. Worked. Let's see if the bonus tracks :)

        • Any luck?

          • +1

@nmcc08: The 10% tracked immediately, but not yet for the bonus. In the other thread for the DD one were saying that the bonus tracking was delayed by several hours, so I'm not worrying (yet).

            • @lbreav: It's now showing $100/$200 for me in the challenge, which is odd since I made the full $200 in a single purchase (2x$100gcs)

  • Just bought mine

    • +1

Were your transactions tracked straightaway, or did you need to wait? I don’t see mine appear in the challenges yet

      • Bought at 9am and normal cashback was straight away but bonus $15 came around 5pm.

  • Unable to purchase with linked card. keep getting "Multiple tries error. cannot complete payment. contact bank and try after 24hours" This was at the first try using the card I have always used. I tried using another card and it blocked it. Not sure wats going on with shopback payments. any1 else have this issue?

  • I am assuming these can be used for Uber ride as well?

    • +1

      Yes.

      • Thanks. Got them. It will help for the trip back from Airport.

  • +2

My 10% cashback tracked, but not the $15 bonus - is that a problem? All purchased via the app promo.

    • Tracked, approx. 2 hours.

The cashback rate on giftcards appears to have dropped to 8%.

  • +5

Bought $200 of gift cards at 10%, challenge not tracked yet

    • +1

      Yeah same didn’t track.

    • Did you buy 2 x $100 gift cards? because $200 card doesnt seems to be upsized

      • +2

        Yes 2 x $100 @ 10% off. $15.00 challenge has now tracked for me

  • +2

Both challenges completed after 4 hours. 👍🏼

  • +2

10% sold out, only 8% left now

  • +1

make sure you select the $100 one and press + to qty 2, it will give 8% cashback and "hopefully" $15 off from challenge (join the challenge!) works out to be 15.5% off.

Unfortunately 10% cashback $100 version is sold out :/
