Price drop on this RX 9060 XT 8GB card. Not a bad choice for 1080p~1440p gaming.

Is there really much benefit in paying more than $449 for one of these? They aren't exactly hot or high powered cards. Most people putting these into budget builds will struggle to hear them over the extraneous noise of their other components and fans.

Yeah it's definitely worth it if you ask me. I always spend the $40 on an oversized cpu cooler, so on even budget builds you get a very silent computer.
No one likes gaming with a computer that's screaming at them.
Don't buy 8gb vram cards! That extra $100 for the 16gb will go a long way.

8gb vram cards are mostly rejected and rightly so.
so true! many games in 1440p need more than 8GB now, even without enabling ray tracing, imagine after 1-2 years?
only wish they can lower the price gap between 8 and 16GB. extra 8gb ram really doesn't cost that much. There's no such thing as a bad product, just a bad price. At $449 these are great value for what they offer.
i agree with the statement.
but these should be $350 maxAnd houses should cost $100,000, cars should cost $20,000, the rest of us just get on with our lives
@Lindy84: No, it isn't. Market forces dictate all of these things. Those who whine about it sit by while the rest of us buy what we need at the prices we can obtain.
Makes me think of my uncle who's been saying that house prices will fall since my earliest memories of him in the mid-1990s.
@xyron: We the people have great control over prices, if people want to put themselves into unmanageable debt the rest have to as well. Because of this mindset we have less people having children because they can't afford it and people in reasonable jobs are being priced out of housing.
@Lindy84: So ?
Your comment basically boils down to "prices are too high because most people pay the prices".
Pro tip - if most people are paying the prices, then they aren't too high 😁
@Nom: Property price is on a 13% rise trajectory again this year here, so I hope everyone has bought soon. Those million dollars properties will be 1.8mill in 5 years on that napkin math. So if you are on your limit for borrowing now where do you think you will be in a year or so? But hey everyone keep buying on the very limit of their capacity because "everyone else is" :) I hope kids today look forward to inheriting debt instead of equity.
128-bit memory bus. Hmm..
vs 5060?
I remember buying a 6600 xt around this price like 4 yrs ago?…
good to see amd 60 series down again.
actually forgot to mention i got a xfx one and it had really bad coil whine… never got it resolved lmao. (after 2 rmas) still had it.
this is the 8gb version though
yeah kinda sucks 16gb isn't around this $470 pp.
but then again was the 7600 ever close to this price?
Is this a deal? An xfx swift dual fan with 16gb is only $120 more ($589) at mwave. I think that's worth it considering the extra longevity an extra 8gb adds to the card.
I don't know how good the cooler is but the Sapphire and Asrock ones are very quiet and only cost a little bit more.
